Magnificent Villa

The view is possibly the best view I have seen from a home. The villa is magnificent, very well equipped and the staff looked after us extremely well. Ideal for a peaceful tranquil holiday away from it all, this is not a negative but there is little to do around (as in no pub/shop or restaurant) nearby other than the beautiful golf course and thus perfect for a quiet holiday which we thoroughly enjoyed. We only stayed 4 of the 7 days in order to see the delights of Sri Lanka. Highly recommend.”

We loved our time at Villa Athmaya. The scenery is spectacular and the mountains are incredible. The photos can't capture the depth and scope of the stunning view. However, it is the staff who really made out stay so relaxing and enjoyable. We also enjoyed playing golf every afternoon at Victoria Golf Course, which is beautifully set into the picturesque countryside.”

the house of dreams, I recommend everyone to spend a holiday in this wonderful villa. positioned on the top of a hill, the villa opens with a wonderful view of the lake and the golf courses, furnished and designed with taste and quality by the owner, a special thanks to Ursula. we were looked after and pampered by the service staff who did not let us miss anything and delighted us with perfect breakfasts and dinners. the hours of relaxation in the pool after excursions in the surrounding area remain a beautiful memory. what can I say,,,, I would definitely go back”

This is so far our best their home holiday. Ursula is a great host and was very helpful. She was very flexible and gave loads of tips. The villa has a fantastic view and very comfortable. On top of that, the staff were great. Kumar is a great chef and Puvi was very helpful. This is highly recommended and will definitely consider coming back again.”

Fantastic villa set above a golf course in the foothills of Sri Lanka's tea plantation hills. The accommodation was pristine and is looked after by a team of staff who even cooked all of our meals. Perfect for those wanting to see SL and for golfers. The owners communication was excellent and Ursula even took care of our transport to and from the airport. Highly recommend this villa if you interested in seeing SL.”

Gorgeous villa with staff in peaceful location

We thoroughly enjoyed our week villa which overlooks the mountains and the Victoria Golf resort… The location is some 30klms east of Kandy, in a quiet, private, secure golf course and resort, with restaurant, bar and pool. Meet the locals on happy hour Fridays .. Villa Staff were kind and always on hand all day to assist amd cook delicious local recipes. ”

Lovely home, peaceful stay, with a beautiful view

Just returned from a relaxing week at Villa Athmaya. The villa is beautiful, with the outdoor and indoor areas well designed for family times. Beds are comfortable and the villa is very clean and well kept. The cook and staff in the villa are very helpful too and they are seldom seen around except meal times, giving us the privacy we truly enjoyed around the villa. The host is responsive and helpful, giving us useful tips for our 1st trip in Sri Lanka. We played a few games of golf in Victoria golf resort and heading back to the beautiful villa to relax after each game is truly a bliss! Highly recommend Villa Athmaya for anyone considering Sri Lanka as a travel destination! ”

Absolutely stunning in every way

We had the most wonderful week at Villa Athmaya, it was our first trip to Sri Lanka, we had no idea what to expect but what we found was the most wonderful country and the most spectacular house. The owner is fabulous, nothing was too much trouble. she answered all our questions about the great unknown we were walking into and by the time we got there we felt totally at ease. The house itself is even more incredible than the photos, the view is astounding and the staff are just fantastic. Kumasi cooks every meal and Puvi sorted out anything else. And the food is so good. We saw so many sights and spent so much time just relaxing. It’s a magical place.”

Unforgettable stay

We had a phantastic holiday in villa Athmaya with the extraordinary view on the lake and the beautiful and peaceful nature. The atmosphere of the house is very positive, easy to live and cozy. But the highlight of the villa is Kumari, the cook. Her food is just delicious,and she and her husband fulfill all the wishes you could have. We really felt so good and hope to come back. The golf club is outstanding and the people working there are excellent. You just should rent a car to be able to go everywhere. ”
