Seamless Last-Minute Add-On & Another Great Stay at Grand Luxxe

We had a second room added last minute, and the process was handled incredibly well. A big thank you to Breanna and Ciara at ThirdHome—they were especially helpful in making everything come together smoothly on short notice. The Grand Luxxe Suite itself was very large and spacious, with plenty of closet space and a balcony that included a private plunge pool—perfect for relaxing. As with our other room, we’d recommend a higher floor if possible, as the lower levels can feel a bit darker due to the dense jungle surroundings. The resort overall delivered another great experience—excellent amenities, relaxing pools and beach club, and a peaceful atmosphere throughout the Grand Luxxe area. The internal transportation can be a bit slow and the layout slightly confusing at times, but still manageable. We also really enjoyed the live music and event nights, and experiences like JOYÀ by Cirque du Soleil and Jungala Aqua Experience added even more to the trip. Overall, everything came together very well, and we truly appreciated how smoothly the additional room was handled. ”

Grand Luxxe Jungle Escape – Spacious, Peaceful, with Great Amenities & Experiences

We had a wonderful stay at Vidanta Riviera Maya in the Grand Luxxe Suite. The rooms are very large and spacious, with plenty of closet space, which made it easy to settle in and stay organized. The balcony was a great feature and included a private plunge pool, perfect for relaxing. One tip: if you have the option, I’d recommend requesting a higher floor. While the main floor is convenient for access, it can feel a bit darker inside due to the proximity to the jungle trees. The landscaping is not trimmed back around the buildings for daylight, so it truly feels like you’re immersed in the jungle. The concierge service was excellent—very attentive and helpful throughout our stay. The online system took a little longer to respond at times, but overall they were still very helpful in assisting with reservations and requests. The resort itself offers great food and a wide range of amenities. The beach club and pools were definitely highlights and very relaxing. The internal transportation system around the resort felt a bit slow and clunky at times, though this may have been due to the slower season. The walkways were great, although at times a bit confusing to navigate. The beach was not very usable during our stay due to sargassum seaweed; however, the resort does clean it daily. Live music and event nights were a great touch and added to the overall experience. The JOYÀ by Cirque du Soleil VIP dinner and show was a fun and unique experience, and Jungala Aqua Experience is also a great daytime attraction (note it closes at 5 PM). One thing to note: some of the additional perks (such as free tickets and certain promotional offers) are tied to attending a timeshare presentation. This is not clearly indicated at the time of booking, so if you do not plan to attend a presentation, you should not expect those included perks. We also loved the wildlife—seeing coatis, birds, and even capybaras added such a unique and memorable touch to the experience. Overall, the Grand Luxxe area was very quiet and peaceful, making it a perfect place to unwind. ”

Wonderful and relaxing!

Vidanta does not disappoint when you stay at a Grand Luxxe property! We had a beautiful room great for cooking in or just relaxing. Room was excellent. Grounds are beautiful. "Jungle" atmosphere. Pools are very nice and service is excellent! The perks you get as a Thirdhome member are very nice! Enjoyed the "Joya" show! Take the excursion to the Mayan ruins!!!! A day well spent!”

Another Relaxing stay!

This was our second stay at Vidanta Grand Luxxe, and we once again had a very enjoyable experience. It’s an easy, direct trip for us from New York, and having everything so well organized makes it a wonderful place to relax and unwind. The Grand Luxxe beach club is a favorite for us—the pools and cabanas are wonderful, and we spent many afternoons there soaking up the sun. While the beach itself is rocky and better suited for walking than swimming, the setting is still beautiful and relaxing. We did participate in the sales tour, and although the presentation can feel like a lot, we appreciated the opportunity to see more of the property, including additional rooms and buildings. The service at Vidanta is consistently excellent, and one of our favorite highlights continues to be strolling along the beautiful jungle pathways, which always feel peaceful and special.”

Beautiful Resort - $$$$$$

first visit to Cancun and Riviera Maya at Vidanta. The weather was perfect! The Resort was beautiful. The additional amities that you receive as a Thirdhome guest are quite nice. Free transportation to and from the airport. (call ahead to schedule pickup). Free tickets to the Cirque de Sole performance and entry to the water park!! The market on the property is very limited for offerings. The food on the resorts brings it to a 4 star not only because of the crazy prices but it definitely lack some flavor and presentation.. The Dog & Pony presentation is worth the 5 keys they give you. we really only gave them an hour after breakfast but the salesman (one of the top salesman0 was very rude when we would not buy. Will return just knowing the ropes of the place will make it easier.”

Resort as expected .... but area not for us

The resort itself was immense and the accommodation was well maintained and presented. The resort restaurant offerings were good and availability/booking was easy enough (although we visited off peak). Adjacent waterpark was the cleanest ever visited - no queuing and the cabana was a fabulous experience. The main put offs for us were (1) the airport arrival experience of running the gauntlet of unlicensed operators within the airport building and immediately outside (2) the delay in the resort transport getting us to a safe haven (3) the heavily armed police/security/army/other (?) personnel overtaking our coach on the highway en route to the resort in around a dozen open backed trucks (4) the slow (but essential and welcomed) luggage and check in experience (airport style security checks to get access into the resort) and (5) the overwhelming and intense hard sell of timeshare experience which took up 3 hours of our first morning. We were told that it would be 1 hour max and decided to go to get our 'keys' returned - silly us!”
