Spectacular Penthouse overlooking beautiful Emerald Bay

Relaxing week in an absolute beautiful penthouse. Grand Isles was a great resort overlooking the most spectacular waters I have ever seen. That staff at the resort was great and treated us like owners. There is only one very good restaurant on property and a quaint little pub that you can take you golf cart to. Have the concierge arrange to rent a SUV(Jeep preferably) for a couple of days to explore the island, some of the prettiest beaches I’ve seen. Some neat bars to see on the way to have a Kalik Gold. Set up a boating excursion to visit the other islands, swim with pigs and other interesting adventures. Again the penthouse was incredible, 4 large bedrooms each with a bath plus a half bath for guests. Private elevator, huge balcony, kitchen top of the line and huge balcony. We will definitely be back to Grand Isle!”

Absolutely Amazing Property!

We thoroughly enjoyed the Island of Exuma. The penthouse was amazing! It is spacious and the views are breathtaking. The beaches of Exuma are just breathtaking - even at The Grand Isle. Helpful Tips while there: Definitely rent a car and go have lunch at Santanna's. It is rustic, unpretentious, and literally on the side of the road - next to the beach - in Little Exuma (45 mins drive from Grand Isle) but the seafood is very fresh and delicious! We recommend that you try the Grouper $17 and the Lobster $27.00 for Lunch. The prices increase for dinner $35/lobster. We enjoyed it so much that we ordered to go items and took it back to the hotel - for lunch the next day. We went there twice.....wish it was closer. It is about 20 minutes from the homes in February Point. On the way back, stop at the Tropic Of Cancer (look for the little blue fence at the corner). It is easy to miss. There isn't a lot to do on Exuma so we highly recommend that you hire a boat - for at least a couple days - in advance. They book up fairly quickly. Take the boat to the Chat and Chill in the Harbor. You are not allowed to leave the harbor with the rented boats..... but the harbor is quite large. Try the conch salad at the Chat and Chill. It is very fresh. Personally, I was not too impressed with the food at St. Francis - but the fried conch and the beers there were ok. The beaches all around Exuma were stunning and incredible blue - crystal clear. The tours are interesting - feeding the pigs etc. Rent a golf cart - you will probably enjoy the transportation around the complex. If you like to fish, take a fishing rod with you - like everything else - it is two to three times the cost in the USA. Everything is imported onto the island, so be prepared for sticker shock at the grocery stores. There is a fishing area off the Marina at Grande Isle, and it was fun to fish in the afternoons, but I did not catch anything worth eating. The restaurant on site was good for breakfast and lunch but after a couple days you may want to venture out for a bit of variety. Sandal's is located next to the property and they do allow you to rent their hobyCat boats. There are approx. 8000 people on Exuma.... Overall, we loved the Island and would definitely return in the near future.”

Grand Isle Resort

Fabulous week in the lovely spacious Penthouse! The resort staff are very friendly and supportive, the grounds clean and well maintained, and the location is stunning! Recommend taking the 4C's boat tour for a fun day adventuring! The clear warm turquoise ocean water is spectacular!! I plan to return again soon!”
