Description

Escape to LA Magazine's praised "Favorite Outstanding Coastal Town" of Hermosa Beach, with its breathtaking ocean views surrounded by a mecca of restaurants, upscale shops, art galleries, antique markets and sightseeing delights. This lively "smallest of the beach towns" city is also well known for its summer concerts and musical entertainment festivals, ranging from blues to jazz. Stroll the scenic 1000-ft pier and follow the lead of the locals to take in the vistas of the Santa Monica Bay and Palos Verdes Peninsula. Perhaps explore barefoot the beautiful beach and walk pier-to-pier between Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach, which is a 4-mile roundtrip exploration (or you can easily opt to drive down the famous Hwy-1 coast from Hermosa Beach to Redondo Beach); either option you choose, stop along the route as there are plenty of fun places to relax, eat and drink, Bike or walk the 22-mile paved route referred to as "The Strand"; participate in a game of beach volleyball or paddleboard the small waves; or perhaps rent a hybrid electric cruiser, skates, scooters or skateboards to roam about as you wish. Stroll fabulously chic Pier Avenue, with its dozens of boutiques, coffee shops and eateries, and end at the Pier Plaza known for its many bars and party atmosphere. Go mural hunting, as Hermosa Beach has luckily acquired an excellent collection of art displayed on its streets, walls and buildings - known as the Hermosa Beach Mural Project, a non-profit dedicated to enhancing the appearance of public spaces through positive art. Get active and take a run on "The Greenbelt", a 3-mile long path extending from Hermosa Beach to Manhattan Beach, perfectly shaded and full of benches and picnic tables for stop breaks. Enjoy drinks at the famous Lighthouse Cafe, one of the central West Coast Jazz clubs from the 50's to 70's, with several records including the movie La La Land having been made onsite.

Experience true California coastal living as you step inside this exquisite North Hermosa Beach modern-chic residence with exudes a beachy lux-lifestyle. Located only two blocks from the "The Strand" for an easy walk to the beach and pier, its tucked-away location on in a quiet neighborhood makes it even more appealing. Expertly designed and masterfully built by two of the South Bay's premier firms - Starr Design Group and Lombardi Construction. The home serves up divine ocean views and rejuvenating breezes with its wonderful indoor-outdoor design and wide-open floor plan. Among its architectural wonders are marvelous vaulted ceilings, weathered herringbone wooden flooring, three extraordinary levels for entertaining and relaxing, charming outdoor patios with modern landscaping, lovely balconies and patios with posh furnishings, floor-to-ceiling glass walls along with skylights, and built-in wooden architectural touches such as paneled walls, bookcases and cabinetry. Additional interior delights are the professional chef kitchen fully equipped to master any cooking class with its kitchen-island bar; expansive living room with fireplace; elegant-casual dining room with an off-set writing laptop desk; a full-size indoor-outdoor bar with additional counter-bench space for seating to gather with friends; outdoor patio off the living area and bar with beautiful mountain-neighborhood views; a larger office space with credenza and cowhide rug; an entertainment room upstairs with large flat-screen TV and cushy couches; and a secondary social-gathering living room with flat-screen TV that provides access out into the cozy backyard with patio. Choose any of its five bedrooms to slumber in, each as uber chic as the next, with their individual spacious private bathrooms. Wander all the way upstairs to encounter a fantastic roof-top patio with panoramic landscape views, and enjoy the small table and stools for sunset cocktails (or morning coffee sunrises). The residence also provides a sleek laundry room with washer/dryer and utility sink.

Inhabit this extraordinary coastal-modern home and be immersed in the delightful destination of Hermosa Beach, for a memorable stay experience you'll always cherish!

Best Family vacation ever!

Susan and Rick were wonderful Host. The house is amazing. Only one oops. Ugh. The elevator was not working and hauling groceries and stuff manually to the kitchen was rough. Bring strong men!!! They were so generous letting us use their bikes and beach accessories! Great for couples get away or family vacation. 4 blocks to the board walk and beach. Very hilly but so close!!! ”

Beautiful! This should be the poster child for ThirdHome.

Amazing house. Everything from the layout to the furnishings was perfect. The 3rd floor great room is perfect for feeling togetherness with the family. Also, loved the easy walks to the beach. And, the bikes and ebikes made the stay complete!”
