Description

Located in the elegant seaside resort of Saint Lunaire, that boasts white sand beaches awarded for their environmental quality, the Emerald Green House faces the ‘Côte d’Emeraude’, which is among the most impressive coastlines of Brittany. Bracing walks, soaring cliffs, attractive beaches, stunning views over the Channel Islands, seabird reserves, historic lighthouses and fortified castles: the Emerald Coast has got plenty to interest.

Welcome to your authentic Breton house, the perfect destination for a getaway for the sea and outdoors lovers. Opening to this superb 2700 square feet (250m2) property the terrace is a quiet space you can sit and enjoy the great verdant private garden that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. The Emerald Green House provides spacious interiors and covers everything from contemporary to traditional floor plans. Distributed in three floors, the family-friendly house benefits from six bedrooms, which boasts three double-bed and three twin-beds bedrooms as well as five bathrooms to welcome up to 12 guests.

A short drive away from your property, you will reach Dinard, the city that hosts the famous British film festival. Situated on the estuary of the Rance and opposite the walled town of Saint-Malo, the most British of the Brittany’s resorts, with its Belle Époque villas and stripy beach tents, is like taking a trip back to the 19th century. Situated very close to Dinard Golf Club, one of the oldest golf courses in continental Europe, with gorses and brooms, moors and dunes, cliffs and strands, you will enjoy the proximity to the beach, from which you will appreciate the view and the beauty of the bay, from Saint-Malo to Cap Fréhel.

Walking along the coast following the GR34 is the most invigorating way to capture the spirit of Brittany that afford an amazing view of the magnificent Fort la Latte that sits in a cliff of pink granite and overlooks the sea. Various films have been shot here, like the Vikings with Kirk Douglas in the leading role.

Get the taste of the sea in Cancale, a traditional fishing village and ‘capital of oyster’ in the region. Take a seat on the terrace of the Atelier de l’Huître, a haven for anyone who loves oysters, accompanied by a glass of dry white wine. The lovers of the great outdoors will take a walk along the coastal path to the Pointe du Grouin, a bird sanctuary and nature reserve that benefits from sublime views. The tides here at the western tip of Mont-St-Michel Bay are among the largest in the world.

Listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites and perched on a rocky islet in the midst of vast sandbanks exposed to powerful tides between Normandy and Brittany stand the the 'Wonder of the West', the magical Mont-Saint-Michel. Climb the 350 steps to reach the top of the mount to visit the Benedictine abbey dedicated to the archangel St Michael that offers marvelous views over the bay. The medieval village that grew up in the shadow of its great walls, is home to the mythical omelets of Mont-Saint-Michel, La Mère Poulard, originally prepared for the pilgrims.

Since the visit of this American territory overseas is an obligatory stop for American presidents, your journey will also take you to the impressive American Military Cemetery and Memorial of Colleville-Sur-Mer, and will be the occasion to pay tribute to the soldiers who lost their lives during the Second World War. The cemetery, which contains the graves of 9,385 soldiers whose crosses are oriented towards their native land, is an exceptional site that faces the ocean and overlooks Omaha Beach, the landing beach of Operation Overlord.

Perfect Stay

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful house on Brittany’s Emerald Coast. The house is spacious, spotlessly clean and superbly equipped with outstanding views of the coast. We fell in love with the area with its beautiful beaches, coastal walks and characterful villages. Our hosts were so helpful and communicative. We could not have asked for a more perfect stay. ”

Great stay in Britany

We loved st Lunaire. it is a beautiful village in Britany with a lot to see around. We got the worst weather ever during the 1st week of July and it rained every day. That didn't stop us from having a good tie. The villa is super nice. It is not a rental villa and you can see it has been designed with love, care, and high-quality appliances. It was better than in the photos I think. The owners were super kind and helpful. Highly recommended We love the photos of the region through the house ”
