St Edmund's House

St. Edmunds House is in a popular residential area in Glastonbury, about 400 yards from the High Street. The property is very private, well back from the road and has great privacy with stone walls and high laurel hedges.

Stranded among the drained marshes and peat bogs of the Somerset Levels, Glastonbury is a town on the dry ground below the mysterious Glastonbury Tor hill. Glastonbury was the scene of an abbey of serious power for a millennium, still impressive nearly 500 years after it was suppressed and left in ruins.

That hill, Glastonbury Tor, is a National Trust site with natural springs rising from deep within its rock and huge rings of terraces on its slopes, built for reasons that are still unknown.

St Edmund's House was built of stone and brick under a tiled roof.
