Kawartha Luxury Waterfront Home with Live-In Boathouse!
In Fenelon Falls, a village nicknamed the "Jewel of the Kawarthas," a 4000 square foot luxury residence with a live-in boathouse dots the Sturgeon Lake shoreline in south-central Ontario. Sturgeon Lake is one of the Kawartha Lakes—a chain known for excellent fishing, particularly Largemouth and Smallmouth bass and Walleye.
This phenomenal waterfront retreat consists of an expansive main cottage with four bedrooms and a lofty live-in boathouse with two bedrooms. The main house has three levels and a basement with a walkout—comfortably accommodating large families with children. On the main level, the newly renovated kitchen comes dressed in white cabinetry, quartz countertops, and mosaic subway tile backsplash. It sports sleek stainless steel appliances, including a beverage fridge, and comes fully equipped with everything one might need to cook a satisfying meal after a day out on the lake! The open concept living room, kitchen, and dining room are perfectly designed for entertaining with a large sofa with a love seat, a decorative fireplace, a dry bar, and a flat-screen television with cable TV. There is a separate dining area with a large harvest table offering seating for six, and there are stools at the breakfast bar as well. But best of all, perhaps, is the large deck off the living room that promises an idyllic setting for a picturesque sunset dinner at the outdoor table.
Back inside, the main floor hosts a welcoming guest room with a queen-size bed and a full farmhouse-style bathroom with shiplap walls, neutral colors, and a stunning walk-in tile shower. The luxurious master bedroom is on the second level of the main cottage and provides guests with a king bed and a private ensuite bathroom complete with a glass-enclosed stand-up shower. Patio doors open from inside the master bedroom to a large wrap-around deck. The loft room sleeps five guests and features a twin-over-queen bunk and a queen bed with a trundle—perfect for the kids! On the top level of the main cottage, there is a large beach house-inspired bathroom with a double sink vanity, a large stand-up shower, and a spacious jacuzzi tub with a spectacular view of the lake. The fourth guest room is on the lower level of the main cottage and is appointed with a plush queen bed and a generous closet. Here, guests will find an impressive and homey recreational room with a pullout couch, four recliners, a large 46" flat-screen television with VCR, DVD, and cable TV, a propane fireplace, and a billiard table for enjoyment.
When you desire additional privacy or are simply traveling in a large group, the spectacular boathouse is a separate two-story accommodation sitting directly on the glistening waters of Sturgeon Lake. Cathedral ceilings invite you inside the brand new and well-lit kitchen fully equipped with stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher and Jenn-Air oven with downdraft ventilation. The open concept granite and slate kitchen flows into the large dining area, seating four around a table with views and offering additional seating at the island. The large living area is quite cozy with a 40" flat-screen television, a gas fireplace, a plush leather couch, and floor-to-ceiling windows allowing for tons of natural light and views of the water. Nearby, there is a wonderful queen bedroom with a washroom, including a soaker tub, shower, and pedestal sink. Follow the stairs to the loft to reveal the lovely master bedroom, which has a queen bed, a pullout twin bed, and a walk-in closet, all while boasting more spectacular lake views.
Wi-Fi is available for the main house and the boathouse. Also, there is a washer/dryer for your convenience. Responsible pet owners welcome (for a fee) and smoking outside if you please. The exterior has several decks overhanging Sturgeon Lake, and there are canoes available for use. You are a short boat ride to Fenelon Falls, which is on the Trent Severn Water System—an inland waterway that runs from Lake Ontario to Georgian Bay and beyond. Supplies are readily available in Fenelon Falls, where there is a large grocery store (Sobeys), quaint shops, liquor & beer stores, restaurants, marinas, service stations, and so much more! You are a quick 10-minute drive from Garnet Graham Beach Park and only five minutes from The Little Pie Shack—a local gem dishing up fresh, delicious pastries and treats.
