Description

Chardonnay Chalet

Nestled in California’s Central Sierra Nevada Mountains, less than 20 miles from Yosemite National Park, Bass Lake is a refreshingly tranquil getaway offering endless opportunities to be one with nature and escape from the demands of everyday life. Flanked by fragrant pine trees, the glistening warm waters of Bass Lake hover around 75 degrees in the summertime, creating a natural hub for swimming, boating, and fishing.

When you’re looking to enjoy activities at Bass Lake or mountain adventures in the Sierra Nevadas, Chardonnay Chalet is the perfect place to call home. Conveniently located in Willow Cove, this cozy yet spacious four-bedroom home is the ideal spot for a weekend getaway with family and friends. With 2370 square feet of living space, it boasts two living areas, two master bedrooms, three fireplaces, six TVs, and a beautiful multi-level deck.

Chardonnay Chalet’s dreamy modern interior pairs rustic wood accents with sophisticated furnishings. The main level’s open floor plan allows guests to transition seamlessly between dining and relaxing. An expansive reclaimed wood bench table can seat the entire family for dinner, whereas the quartz breakfast bar is great for midday, pick-me-up snacks. Kick your feet up in the living room as you watch your favorite shows and listen to the fireplace’s flickering flames. If you can’t agree on what to watch, don’t fret, there is a second living room located on the lower level with two wall-mounted flatscreen TVs. Smell the crisp mountain air as you relax outside on the deck. It’s the perfect all-day hangout spot for morning coffees, afternoon games, and BBQ dinners.

When you need to rest up before a big hike or fishing trip, a good night’s sleep is guaranteed at Chardonnay Chalet. Both master bedrooms evoke a cozy cabin feel and feature king-sized beds, warm fireplaces, and flatscreen TVs. The expansive master ensuites sport a beautiful herringbone pattern floor and a luxurious walk-in shower. The guest rooms have a king or queen bed, and there is a third full bathroom, as well as a half bath.

Chardonnay Chalet is a great jumping-off point for hiking-filled Yosemite adventures. At Bass Lake, you can rent a boat or kayak to glide through the waters or fish for trout, bass, and Kokanee salmon. Then, top your vacation off by sampling artisan wines as you tour the wineries of Yosemite Sierra Wine Road. A great time will be had by all!

Wonderful mountain retreat

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home. The location was perfect and the decks were great for relaxing and visiting all day and evening. The proximity to Yosemite worked out great too as we enjoyed several days in the park. The home was spacious, and the hosts were responsive to any questions we had. Bass Lake is beautiful and we enjoyed the restaurants around the lake. I could make this trip again for sure.”

Bass Lake at its best

What a treat to stay at Chardonnay Chalet! We enjoyed this wonderfully comfortable home with other THIRDHOME members and we are simply jealous that they live closer and can come back more easily than us. A super staging post for trips into Yosemite and only a short stroll from the lake this is a home to really share with friends. The large communal spaces inside and out make it very welcoming. In conjunction with hikes around El Capitan we enjoyed afternoons on the lake and strolls into the forests. Next time we will have to stay longer. Thank you so much for letting us stay. ”
