Description

Situated very close to Pollensa old town and its beach, this Picturesque Finca “Las Rosas” offers a perfect location for those who wants to enjoy the nature and calm surroundings next to the Tramunta Mountains. Here is where the golf lovers will also have the opportunity to enjoy a privileged environment with the most spectacular views of the golf course and the chance to play their favorite sport at the Golf Pollensa, a challenging 9 hole courses that has been described as some of the most beautiful in the Mediterranean, with a clubhouse, a restaurant, and a swimming pool.

As its name suggests, colorful and fragrant flowers adorn the entrance to ‘Las Rosas’, and adjacent to the pool and landscaped gardens, maintained and secluded lawns are ideal for children or sunbathers. The sheltered BBQ area always enjoys the evening sun, making it a romantic spot for ‘Al-fresco’ dining. The ‘Mallorcan’ tiled sun deck provides a spectacular setting for the meals and breakfasts outside, overlooking the Mediterranean fruit tress and grape vines that adorn the private grounds.

A picturesque and charming finca, Las Rosas is located at the foot of the hills between Puerto Pollenca and the sandy beaches of Cala San Vicente. Consisting of 3 double bedrooms, the main property boasts 2 king-size beds, all en-suite. There is a cozy atmosphere attached to the lounge and fitted kitchen, both lead onto a paved terrace that surrounds the large and ornate swimming pool. Attached to the main house, the guest house comprises a double bedroom, bathroom and lounge all with garden and pool views.

This property is a lovely traditional Spanish villa approximately 20 minute walk from Puerta Pollença, and this gives the surrounding area a peaceful and tranquil setting. Surrounded by the wonderful gardens, with plenty of outside seating and sun loungers, the magnificent pool will be the highlight of your stay!

The picturesque countryside around Pollensa is a colorful mixture of fertile fruit orchards and lightly wooded glades, bordered by hills to the south and dramatic rocky outcrops of Mallorca's northern mountains. The region stretches along the coast to Alcudia from the golden beaches of Puerto Pollensa and inland to the quaint, historic small town of Pollensa itself. To the north the shores of Puerto Pollensa and Cala San Vicente are fringed with miles of golden sand with water sports and ideal sun bathing for the more relaxing holiday.

Both Puerto Pollensa and Pollensa offer a good selection of restaurants, ranging from cafes and tapas bars to fine dining. Pollensa, apart from its pretty square has the Via Crucis which is a notable attraction with its long stairway which ascends Calvary Hill, from which there are superb views over the coast. Puerto Pollensa is a pretty, unaffected resort that is a firm favorite with families.

About 15 minutes drive from your property, Alcudia is one of the most fascinating landscapes on the island, offers a journey of new experiences to discover and enjoy 365 days a year within a peninsula with prehistoric, Roman, Arab and medieval vestiges. Along with the Bay of Alcudia lies the small seaside resort of Son Serra de Marina, featuring the hills of Llevant Natural Park in the background. The golf lovers will be welcome to Capdepera Golf, a very special golf course within the national park, where the aim is to provide peace and tranquility and a relaxed golf experience.

Pollença is probably the town with the strongest personality on the island, and you will appreciate the attractive narrow streets and the impressive main square, lined with cafés, restaurants and bars, the same way the artists, writers and musicians discovered the inspiring beauty of the area in the early part of the last century did. Entering the heart of Mallorca is like landing on a different island where calm and silence reign. The “Serra de Tramontana”, the charming small villages, the cobbled streets, the stone houses… Let yourself fall in love with the culture, the gastronomy, the landscapes and the traditions of the inland part of Mallorca.

Known for its pearl manufacturing, for its highly relevant industry and for being Rafa Nadal’s hometown, a world famous tennis player, Manacor is of great importance to the island. Stroll around the city center, pass through the square Plaza del Rector Rubí, and admire the Palace tower, where the kings of Mallorca used to live in a temporary basis. Then visit the Majorica Pearls Factory to discover the secrets of the unique and delicate production of the opaline crystal. A short drive away from the city, you will enjoy the small tourist town of Porto Cristo, a beautiful natural harbor, with a superb beach and a welcoming promenade that will motivate you to walk and relax.

45 minutes apart from each other, Manacor is second to Palma, where La Sea, the Cathedral of the city, dominates the bay of Palma and is an icon of the island’s historical and cultural heritage. Wander the narrow cobbled streets of Palma’s casco Antiguo, and admire its elegant archways, grand historic Palacios, medieval churches and charming squares and head to the original Turkish Baths, which give an idea of the relaxing, cleansing regime that the Moors enjoyed during their occupation of the island.

Wonderful setting on the island of Mallorca!

My wife and I stayed at Las Rosas for 7 days in mid January. Upon arrival, we found this charming property and one level cottage in perfect condition. Our host Daniel was terrific prior to and during our stay- very helpful with suggestions on sights to see on the island and local restaurants. Location was very nice- only about 3-5 mins to port side restaurants, grocery store, shops, beach and marina in Porto Pollenca. We were also 10 mins from the old town of Pollenca which sits below the mountains and has a historic charm. Overall, the island is easy to navigate by car, with many sights and very scenic areas...it is quite beautiful and the people were very friendly. Because it was January, we unfortunately could not use the beautiful pool which must be an amazing setting to enjoy on the secluded and colorful grounds...very apropos of the name Las Rosas. We highly recommend and hope to return again in the future!”

Las Rosas

We did not like this home. It had a musty, almost moldy aroma throughout. The master bedroom does not have a window so it wasn’t possible to get any fresh air into the room. The pillows were old and stained and contributed to the issues. We could not stay and left after the first night.”

Mallorca's Hidden Gem

Our stay at Las Rosas was truly majestic. The house was perfect and appointed extremely well. The Pool was absolutely beautiful and our host Daniel could not have been more accommodating. The house is located in a quiet and quaint neighborhood and is a short 10 minute walk to the town of Port Pollenca where you will find many amazing waterfront restaurants and shops. We explored several areas of the island and some of our favorite festivities included Bodega can Vidalet vineyard tour and tasting, Sunday Market in Pollenca, Hike to Cala Can Vicente, A day trip to Valdemossa, Tour of the Cathedral of Santa Maria in Palma. Some of our favorite restaurants included Brisas, Terrea and 365 Restaurant at the Son Brull Hotel and Spa. Thank you Daniel for making our first trip to Mallorca truly memorable and we can't wait to return!!”
