Nice, some room to improve

The villa itself was stunning—spacious, high-end, and well-designed. The pool and outdoor areas were beautiful, and our villa was conveniently located right on the practice green. The resort as a whole is nice, but it’s important to note that it doesn’t have a strong focus on the ocean or beach experience. While there is a beachfront area, it’s accessed via a dirt road, which feels a bit disconnected. Instead, the resort’s main attraction is a massive pool/lagoon, which is impressive and ideal for families with young kids. Golf seems to be the primary draw, and from what we could see, the courses looked fantastic. The biggest issue we encountered was communication from the resort. Before arrival, I inquired about renting a golf cart and was told they were all sold out. However, upon arriving at our villa, we were pleasantly surprised to find a cart in the garage—an absolute necessity given the resort’s size. With restaurants, the lagoon, and the pool spread far apart, having a golf cart is essential for getting around. This isn't an ordinary Thirdhome...you are dealing only with the resort, not an owner. The resort staff is nice enough, but not very organized and teh pre-arrival communication is lacking. We arrived on New Year's Eve to find that every restaurant onsite was fully booked for private celebrations. It would have been helpful to receive a heads-up about this in advance. They do have one place with food to go attached to the Sports Bar restaurant and the food is quite good so that worked out okay. Overall, I would stay here again, particularly for a golf-focused trip. The resort has a lot of potential, but better communication and a more seamless guest experience would make a big difference. ”

Magnificent Property

This villa is everything you could ever want. Plenty of space for the whole family or group. The service at Diamante is impeccable and the food is delicious. The one complaint I have is that this unit does not have a generator. We arrived to find the power out and had to deal with that until midafternoon the next day. Also, there were a large number of bugs flying around and, in the pool, which made it difficult to enjoy. Aside from those things, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You may want to avoid the summer season if you plan to do much in the way of outdoor activities, unless they involve the water.”

The Villa is so beautiful and the facilities are amazing, especially the large Lagoon pool. We went swimming and Kayaking there. So fun!! We only had two couples but could have had 5. They delivered the groceries and put them away for us. The golf is very expensive, so we went to the informational breakfast to get a discount and ended up purchasing a week at one of the new Golf Villas on the El Cardinale golf course (Tiger Woods Course). Can't wait to go back!!”

A beautiful villa in a safe, gorgeous resort property

These golf villas have EVERYTHING you'd need while on vacation with your family. Though they're not water view, they are surrounded a short golf course which was very pretty. Staff was amazing here. Never felt safer on a property in Cabo (and we feel VERY safe everywhere we stay in Cabo), their security is top-notch. The only drawback is the pool and the lack of it getting really heated. This side of Cabo (the Pacific) is very breezy and in March can be chilly. The pool only goes up to 80 degrees and for an extra fee of $30 USD per day you can get it to 84 degrees. Still not warm enough for me to really enjoy in cooler weather. So if you're looking for a warm pool in cooler conditions, I wouldn't recommend staying here. Also, they charge I think it was $30 per day for their gym, which is another drawback if you have a family of gym-goers, like us. Also note, the lagoon is not heated at all so it is FREEZING. But it is beautiful. I would absolutely stay here again, as the villa was very well laid out and huge, with a more contemporary design, and the property is really expansive - the villa comes with a 4-seater golf cart which is so fun to roam around in!”

Beautiful home, great resort for families!

The home has a beautiful view and great layout w plenty of space to spread out, great indoor/outdoor flow. Par 3 was excellent for our kids and those members of our group that weren’t avid golfers. Plus house came w a golf cart that was of blast to tool around on. 10-acre lagoon pool was just about ok you ask for to entertain kids of all ages w an aqua park, restaurants, kayaks/paddle boards and kids club. Oh and plenty of lifeguards! A few on property restaurant w nice variety of price ranges. Be sure to make reservations. The two downsides are that the beach is extremely rough and not swimmable. Also there is an additional golf course under construction so some dust from that process. That said, we loved our stay and recommend to those traveling with families! ”

This was our first villa stay in Diamante. We travelled with 3 other couples and this unit was perfect. The villa is quiet and having the golf cart to get around with was a bonus. We had a hard time even leaving the unit with our own pool, hot tub, full kitchen etc. ”

House was great! Resort was awesome- kind of spread out but you have access to a golf cart and there is shuttle service which makes getting around pretty simple. Service was really good as well with a private concierge making sure everything was taken care of daily- would definitely go back! ”

The best week at Diamanté

We loved every moment at this beautiful home. Pulling up to the home the landscaping and the home was beyond beautiful. The home had everything we ever needed minus the beach. The service was excellent. Having the golf cart made it so easy to get around the property. A week was not nearly long enough. And, all four of us did not want to ever leave this place. I said welcome home as we walked through the door. It is beyond amazing. Thank you and we are coming back next year it’s booked!”

Family was wowed !!

We invited several family members that have not traveled with us before and to say the least they were impressed. The first couple to arrive immediately proclaimed "I'm not leaving this place" and spent their week pretty much poolside leaving the villa only for food. My wife's sister spent her week taking pictures and videoing the villa to everyone she knew. Another family member commented " how do I go on a regular vacation now"? ”

Lovely but....

Diamante's golf villas are amazing!! The villa is huge with a beautiful view of the golf course from the large pool and spa and a great barbecue station. We enjoyed the outside fireplace at night and the fire pit surrounded by a sectional couch was a favorite gathering place for roasting marshmallows with the kids. The kitchen is a chef's dream including a very large walk in pantry, under counter ice maker for unlimited ice, a wine cooler that doubles as a water bottle and soda cooler. The six burner stove and griddle make large meals a breeze. Everything screams luxury throughout the villa and it's bedrooms. That being said it is very noticeable when things are so lovely and other areas fall short. The cushions on the sectional couch were torn with splits several inches wide exposing foam and padding. The couches in the living room have seen their better day and are obviously tattered. The concrete was peeling on the spa and pool. Not huge deal breakers but kind of like a huge dent on a beautiful car, a little disappointing. We shared our concerns with management so hopefully they will be remedied. ”

Diamante is a great groups and big families

This is was our 2nd time staying at Diamante. Our first visit was at the lagoon villa. We were torn over which villa we liked better. This house is very spacious and has nicer finishings, furniture and bedding. Liked the jacuzzi tub and outdoor shower. It is a little remote from the resort and you have to drive/ use a golf course to get to the lagoon and beach area. But it is walking distance to golf. Take advantage of unlimited golf and club rentals on the JR course for $50 per week. The kitchen is sparsely stocked. One mixing bowl, one mini cookie sheet, one cutting board..etc. If you plan on cooking for a crowd, I would buy some disposable aluminum.catering containers. I brought a lot of gallon size ziplock bags for leftovers. We really love this resort. It’s the place you stay and don’t leave. It’s a 15 minute drive to to highway/grocery store. But so much to do for all ages. My teenagers love the gym, floating obstacle course, kayaks, volley ball and other games. Tennis, 100% recommend.”

What a Week!

This place is beautiful! The description was a little off as we had a additional bunk room that had 4 Queen bunks so we could of had more friends with us. Everything top notch! Could use a few more kitchen utensils - but overall I would give it a 10 star review. Service and safety was outstanding! WE WILL BE BACK! 10 friends for a week - plenty of space to have some alone time!”

I absolutely loved the golf villa! We were there the week of July 4th-11th and could not have been happier. On the 4th we even had fireworks right outside of the villa.! The home had all the amenities you could ever want like Viking appliances, an industrial ice maker, Smart tv, every type of utensil for making gourmet meals, indoor/outdoor showers in each bathroom , a golf cart for exploring the property and the list goes on. We didn't even end up playing golf and still enjoyed the property immensely! We look forward to our next visit to Diamante and the golf villa! We love Diamante and ThirdHome!”

Diamante Golf Villa

The Golf Villa at Diamnate was fantastic! The house was huge with its own pool, hot tub and golf cart. The concierge was helpful and friendly as was the daily maid service. One day, we drove two hours to La Paz and swam with the Whale Sharks. It was amazing; we recommend it. We also visited Nobu, the Resort next to Diamante, and enjoyed a fabulous dinner. We hope to return in the future., ”

Amazing Home

The golf villa exceeded our expectations and was truly an amazing home. There was so much detail in the design and features of the home that made it a luxurious and comfortable place to relax. The housekeeping service was excellent as well as other service at the resort. However, as others have mentioned, the resort is still under major construction and is somewhat inconvenient to grocery stores, the town center, etc. Overall, we will be back (and more prepared).”

Amazing home on an amazing property

We absolutely loved this home. It is beautiful, open, and very private. Although there was only 4 of us, it would be perfect for large groups as well. Do be aware that th Pacific side of Cabo can get windy in April and May. We knew this before booking, so we were prepared. One of the best features of the home is having your own personal golf cart to get around the resort and a private path from the backyard to the HUGE driving range. You can wake up in the morning, take a few steps and you’re hitting balls on one of the most prestine ranges in Mexico. It is amazing. The private pool and hot tub are pretty great too. ”

Beautiful Home

The Golf Villas are 5 Star residences. The resort overall was a bit further out of Town than we wanted to be so can rides added up fast. One of the golf courses was closed for annual maintenance which we did not know about when booking. Lastly, apparently May is an unusually windy month in Cabo so at times especially at night it was pretty cold. Would go back to Diamante if better prepared. ”

Not What We Booked

Unfortunately we did not stay in the Golf Villa, as booked, but rather a Four Bedroom Bungalow. If you did not know the difference it would have been fine, but we did: we did not have our own pool, the bungalow is smaller, and we had to be shuttled everywhere by hotel personnel which was quite inconvenient. Although Third Home did its best to make up for the unexpected change, Diamante's attitude was quite horrible. I received no communication about the change, so only learned of it when checking in. Even when speaking to the GM. the attitude was "take or leave it" rather than being the least bit apologetic. He didn't even acknowledge that I had a right to be upset! And I had a confirmation from Diamante for the villa! Although ultimately Diamante at least covered the trip to and from the airport for our friends, their attitude was quite disconcerting. I don't know if I will ever use Third Home to stay at Diamante again because of the GM's attitude, and this certainly did not encourage me to want to actually buy a residence there (which they kept trying to sell to us and our friends). I thus issue a warning to future Third Home members interested in booking this property: make sure you are getting what you think you booked”

Peaceful Golf Retreat

This is a good place to stay for golfers and those wanting peace and quiet. Pretty far away from Cabo action (which could definitely be a plus or minus - depending on what your goals are.”

Unbelievable Villa!!

We stayed at on of Diamante's Golf Villa from May 5 - 18, 2018 and it was awesome. We rented a car to get around the Cabo area, but the Villa provided a golf cart to cruise around their 1.500 acres. That made it easy to eat at their restaurants, hit one of their golf courses, go to the beach or just check out the amazing estates that are popping up all around Diamante. Housekeeping did an outstanding job cleaning every square inch in the 2+ hours they spent there everyday. Every time we used the outdoor Viking barbecue, it was sparkling clean the following day. The one negative would be the loud music and talking/laughing coming from other Villas during the day and night. It's great to have a sound system throughout the Villa, including the backyard area, but some occupants just do not care about disturbing others. Be sure to pack earplugs for a good night's sleep! Of course, the majority of the time, it was nice and peaceful with only the sounds of the many birds. All four bedrooms had their own indoor and outdoor shower! It was great getting fresh air and sun while taking a shower. We would definitely be back! ”

Wonderful trip!!

We absolutely loved the 4 bedroom villa! It is so beautiful. It has two really amazing master bedrooms with huge bathrooms with both a jacuzzi bathtub and an indoor and outdoor shower. The rooms open up to the pool area. There are a lot of sitting areas. The two other bedrooms are much smaller and one has two double beds, so if you bring 4 couples, two couples are extremely happy, one is ok and the other a little sad. There is also a media room with a pull out queen bed and a full bathroom with shower next to it, so you really could have 5 couples. We loved the golf on both courses, but because 3rd home members are not considered members of the golf courses, we had to pay full fare which is $320 per player per round plus $25 for a caddie and tip on that. That was over $700 per couple per day, so quite expensive. The workout facility is one of the best anywhere. The lagoon is also just amazing! It is the largest pool that I have ever seen. The food was also wonderful! They even had a welcoming manager's party. My suggestion is to meet other members so that you can play golf with them as their guest rate is $160 per round. ”

Exceptionally beautiful Diamante

The experience at Diamante was fantastic from the time we arrived the gate to our departure, the service and staff were always available and ready to assist, we had a special private birthday dinner arranged one evening by the lagoon under the stars which was orchestrated perfectly. The community, while growing is beautiful, great vistas, surroundings, and spectacular sunsets from the beach or from the main clubhouse. The Golf Villa was beautiful, comfortable, and ideally suited for our party of six. Having the golf cart available throughout the week was also very convenient and nice to have. Several of our guests commented this was the best vacation they've ever been on. We traveled north to Cerritos Beach to surf the waves, and to Todos Santos to visit the legendary Hotel California the bases for the classic Eagles song and album cover, quaint and clean with great restaurants you will not want to miss, a little local gem worth the 40 minute drive along the unobscured coastline of Baja California. We cannot wait to visit again..”

Diamante Perfect !

This was our second trip to Diamante Villa 20 in 6 months. The Villa is amazing and has every amenity one could desire in a vacation, the staff is certainly 5 star. The Dunes and Cardinal' courses are breath taking; lots of sand, very challenging, true Tiger. ”
