Winter Wonderland

We spent the week before Christmas at this fantastic lodge (pre-COVID) and would not hesitate to return. The suite was large, the beds were comfortable (though the sheets were a bit scratchy) and the rooms were beautifully furnished. The Christmas decorations in the main area were amazing, especially the gigantic gingerbread rocket ship and the huge tree bedecked with lights, rustic ornaments, skis, sleds and gaily wrapped presents. The morning buffet breakfast was the most varied and delicious of any I have ever experienced. The game room is incredible (especially the Jurassic Park game) and there is a large screen movie theatre showing both new and, during our stay, Christmas themed movies where you are treated to bottled water and all the popcorn you can eat. And as if that isn’t enough, the Stein also offers a world class spa, the perfect hang-out for ski widows like myself. All in all, one of the most delightful and memorable trips/Christmases my husband and I have ever enjoyed. I highly recommend it to skiers and non-skiers alike.”

Spectacular Stein Eriksen Lodge!

We had a wonderful stay in Deer Valley in June. It's not just for skiing! The wildflowers were blooming everywhere, and the mountains were lush and green. The Stein Eriksen Lodge was beautifully appointed and the service was outstanding. We took advantage of the yoga classes (great teacher!) and were regulars at the spa. We found time to make it over to the spa and fitness center just about every day. The Stein Eriksen provided a free shuttle into Park City (only about 8 minutes away), and this was very nice for going out to dinner. But, if you are in the area on a Sunday, the brunch at the Stein Eriksen is a must. Live music, and the best brunch spread I've seen anywhere! Bananas Foster crepes! This was a wonderful location for a family vacation. We absolutely loved it! ”

Unbelievable service!

This is probably one of my new favorite ski destinations- because unlike Colorado, it is only a 40 minute drive from Salt Lake City Airport to the slopes. We were also lucky enough to enjoy prime Spring Skiing conditions, gorgeous 30 degree days with fresh powder daily. And not only was the lodge itself absolutely spectacular, but the service was second to none. Twice daily maid service, an attentive concierge, and for those of you who are avid skiers - after an amazing Stein's skiier's breakfast of almost anything you could imagine you head off to the ski locker room where the Ski valet put on your boots, carried your skis out the back door of the Lodge and send you off on the chairlift! And when you return from a day on the slopes, you are greeted with hot chocolate and live music in the lounge. I would then head straight for the private hot tub on my balcony to completely relax. Everything about this lodge was perfect, and if you're lucky you will catch a glimpse of world renewed Stein Eriksen himself. *Also, if you are there on a Sunday, try their Sunday Brunch....delicious food with wonderful views of the mountains right from your table.”

We had such a phenomenal time at the Stein. It more than lived up to it's 5 star rating--with the amazing service, food, accommodations, and convenience to the the slopes (a true ski/in ski/out)! I was super impressed with their in-house restaurant and gourmet selection of food--it had everything one could want before hitting the slopes, from cold cereal, hash browns, eggs and fresh fruit, to smoked salmon and maple glazed bacon. The Sunday brunch is top-notch as well. If you want the ultimate in pampering and relaxation, I'd highly recommend visiting the spa, and making a day out of it. They have so many different services, and the facility and staff were super nice and professional...oh and it's Utah's only Forbes Five Star Spa. The Stein is such a great place to enjoy one another, the beautiful Utah Mountains and the amazing lodge. If you are considering a stay in Park City, I would strongly recommend a stay at the Stein Eriksen Lodge. We had a truly beautiful time and will certainly be back again!”
