Beautiful location

This house is beautifully located right on the water, on a secluded bay about 20 miles from Key West (about a 30-45 minute drive depending on traffic). There are a few restaurants and a convenience store nearby, but otherwise this is a quiet residential waterfront community with houses set on canals. The sunsets are absolutely breathtaking, some of the best I have ever seen. The wraparound patio is lovely for eating and just hanging out in hammocks and looking at the water. All that being said, I have to agree with a prior reviewer that this is a house in need of some serious TLC and upkeep. All of the lightbulbs in the main part of the kitchen were burned out, and the host was not able to get that addressed all week, so we ended up cooking for Thanksgiving using some lamps from the bathroom. There is nowhere to eat aside from outside with the bugs, the outdoor grill is literally caked with grease and looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. There were not two matching glasses to drink from or a pot that matched a cover — a style that was part charming relaxed beach house, but also part low-rent hodgepodge. Getting into the house with our luggage was an adventure as a huge air conditioning condenser had been installed directly in the middle of the only walkway to the front door. The house is for sale (the host asked if buyers could see it while we were there, which we politely declined as we were cooking all day) and it just feels like a well loved family getaway that is waiting for a new owner to fix it up. This was our first ThirdHome experience and honestly was not everything we expected. But a very relaxing and beautiful spot and great sunset photos!”

Huge home to accomodate a large family or even a small wedding party. Lots of extras to host a large dinner party. Main kitchen has lots of extras just note that there is not a full oven. There is a full oven on the other end of home that is like a mother in law suite. Lots of TVs - all smart TVS for movies and music videos. Proximity to a multitude of nature walks and adventures. Very large spa pool just note that you will need two strong people to remove and replace cover. Hosts were readily avaialble for questions. Bedding and furniture was extremely comfortable. There is a gate to slide open upon entering property so very private. Late afternoons on the deck are so nice. You can take naps in the hammock chairs.. Didnt spend much time in the bedroom up spiral steps but the view is amazing up there. Hope to be back soon! ”

Lovely house in a great location!”

Beautiful View but....

Vista De Sirenas has a lot of potential but it really needs a lot of TLC. One of the railing was close to falling off so the cure was to wrap a plastic bag on it and put a note saying "Danger Railing". The only dining room table is outside on the porch, which is nice if the weather and bugs allow it. I could go on but the Host/Manager didn't seem to care so wondering if we should as well. Additionally the Host/Manager acted more like a rental manager rather than a ThirdHome host. Even when the Fire Department showed up due to a smoke detector going off due to some smoke from frying bacon (no exhaust fan), she seemed uncaring even as I let her know the fire department was not amused as they were called to this location rather often and wanted me to let the owner know to correct the problem. I don't like writing poor reviews but Vista De Sirenas is not a great representation of what ThirdHome is about. I actually wanted to give fewer stars but we had a great time in the Keys fishing and exploring the lower Keys. ”

Vista De Sirenas Delights

This is a fabulous house in an idyllic location on Cudjoe Bay. We could see sea turtles swimming in the clear water from the expansive wrap around porch. We spent a lot of time reading in the hammocks and swing chairs and we enjoyed paddle boarding and kayaking each day. With no nearby large cities, we couldn’t believe all the stars we could see in the night sky from the swim spa. Key West is an easy drive as is Big Pine Key and its nature preserves. I saw my first key deer. Nearby restaurants such as Square Grouper and Broil are very good. ”

Wonderful Beach House

The location couldn't be any better. Right at the Cudjoe Bay and we really enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding down there. Easy access to other lower keys and Key West is only a short drive away. The house is spacious and fully air-conditioned. We loved the attached in-law quarters, which include a separate living area and kitchenette. The wrap-around deck was like the heart and soul of the house to us. Comfortable and beautiful place for family meals, conversations, or simple relaxation and all. We also appreciated many other amenities the property provides such as the pool table, cornhole game set, and various board games. The swim spa is terrific and a perfect spot for watching sunsets too!”
