Fantastic Stay

My wife and I stayed at Nirvana for four nights after our daughter was married the previous weekend and we could not have found a more relaxing place to stay with added amenities of being able to go in and enjoy the San Miguel offerings. Juan Carlos was there when we arrived on our late flight and he could not have been more accommodating. The rooms are great with beautiful balconies overlooking the valley below, and the spa and dining were first rate! Fell in love with the green sauce on the chilaquile‘s for breakfast. Everything else was great as well.”

Juan carlos is a marvelous host, his place is astounding and proviledged , his termal water pool unique , food and service excellent . Very quiet location, instalations very good. Eventhogh it is about 10 miles away from san miguel it is very accesible, thanks to all crew at Nirvana retreat for a wonderful week .”

If San Miguel de Allende is on your bucket list, then you must go to Nirvana Retreat. The property was stunning, the heated pool was a wonderful and private escape, every breakfast was superb, the staff was attentive and friendly ... but what makes this special place true Nirvana are your hosts, Juan Carlos and Anna. Their love and knowledge of SMA provided us insight you can't find in any guidebook. As experienced travelers, my wife and I seek the beauty in every place we visit ... and we were blown away by our week at the Nirvana Retreat. Five stars. For sure.”

Sister get away

Lovely get away for my sister and I. We spent our days at the spa and the staff were friendly and personable and so very attentive. Its a wonderful place to unplug, sit by the pool, take an AM horseback ride, and watch lovely sunsets on the deck. THANK YOU !”

We loved our stay with Juan Carlos and Anna at his beautiful Nirvana Retreat. They are the most gracious hosts and treated us as family, not only guests. The suite was beautiful, the restaurant delicious and the spa was wonderful. Make sure to take advantage of the thermal pool! I LOVE THIS MAGICAL GEM

From the time you drive on the property, you know you have arrived at a magical place. Not many times, in all of my travels, can I say this place is magical and special. The staff and owners are AMAZING! Dining on the terrace every morning and evening was incredible. The view from my casita looked like looking out to the Serengeti in Africa. They even did a special dinner for me celebrating my birthday on a lower private terrace. The owner and his wife run this small 9 casita resort and they are there all the time making sure your stay is 5 star! On site is horse back riding which I did... being a horse lover and also did a full day body treatment which was beyond 5 stars. It is an easy 15 minute drive into downtown San Miguel. The owner will suggest places in San Miguel to visit and dine and he is like the "mayor" of San Miguel so if Juan Carlos sends you, expect the royal treatment in San Miguel too. Will be back and highly recommend. ”
