May 2025A Very Special Place
The Bay | Oceanfront Serenity in Cornwall’s Secret Hideaway is just that - serenity in a secret hideaway at the end of the line of one of Cornwall's enchanting coastal roads. It is a very special place and we enjoyed staying there very much. The view of the bay from the living room and the master bedroom is outstanding. We especially enjoyed seeing the ferry boat that comes right up onto the beach just beneath the apartment several times a day. We took this ferry over to Plymouth, where the pilgrims started their journey to Plymouth Rock in Massachusetts in 1620. There are lots of restaurants and lovely shops near where the ferry docks after a half hour sail from Cawsand - highly recommended. There is very secure parking in the garage below the unit with a remote control for the large sliding door and there is a great restaurant with delicious food and great service a couple of steps from the secure elevator. It is easy to get around Cornwall from here - a short hour and 20 minutes to Port (Wenn) Isaac where Doc Martin was filmed and an hour and 40 minutes to St. Michael's Mount on the southern tip of Cornwall with a striking resemblance to Mont St. Michel 200 miles across the English Channel. I just can't say enough about this place other that STAY THERE IF YOU CAN! You won't want to leave. Five stars all around! ”
