June 2026Lots of room for a sibling reunion
Nice vacation rental with view of the local ski mountain is likely best for visits by active individuals with no mobility issues as lots of stairs. Still views were stunning from the wrap around porch. As warm during our visit, we didn’t use the nice jacuzzi, but the inside sauna was a hit. Be aware that that top floor bedroom’s only access to a bathroom was down stairs on the main floor- which for those needing the bathroom in the middle of the night was a negative. The master bedroom is on the main floor and was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. The other bedroom on the main floor had a very uncomfortable mattress which had our family switching rooms after the first night. The downstairs level has two bedrooms that were comfortable and accessed the nicest and newest bathroom in the home- with the added benefit of the mentioned sauna and a bonus playroom. The outside deck needs to be updated as soft spots in the wood and nail pops, but the view was worth slipping on shoes to enjoy. The owners were very responsive, which was great when we had a small issue with the water softener beeping. We cooked most meals at the home so only enjoyed one dinner in the town which had lots of cute restaurants. Like most vacation rentals, best to bring your own knives and pans if you plan to cook a lot. Highlight of the trip was a visit to the new National Comedy Center in Jamestown NY- an easy 30 minute drive and worth more time than the 3 hours we spent enjoying.”

We had a great time in Ellicottville, NY a the Elevated Mountain Hideaway Overlooking Holiday Valley. The hosts are so accommodating and provided great information about things to do and their favorite local restaurants. We enjoyed all the space in the home and enjoyed the amenities. The town of Ellicottville is adorable. We also had a nice day exploring the Amish Trail nearby.”
