Gorgeous home on Lake Atitlan. However, the home is situated in a location that the local Lancha ( public boats) does not come so you have to hire a boat taxi whenever you want to go anywhere. I would highly advise hiring a boat for the week. Also, would be great to jet ski on the lake. Again, the lake views were spectacular . Host had some local contacts and was very helpful. One of which was the tour contact, he connected us with helicoptering into Atitlan instead of driving in. One of the highlights of our trip. We did have a few hiccups that could have been resolved if we had understood the culture issues earlier. Host does have a staff of which includes a cook. She will cook for you for a fee. Guetemalan eat very light dinner. It’s not a full set meals like what we are use to. So if you do use the cook there it is very basic. Just a heads up. ”
