March 2026House has potential, but is unfinished and host is bad.
The house has potential, but it is unfinished. The layout is nice; it is well equipped and has an excellent outside area. The staircase to the second floor is unsafe as it is open on one side and has no railing. There is therefore an unguarded 2.5-meter drop to the floor. It is definitely not suitable for children or people with limited mobility. The painted floors in the whole house also signify it being unfinished. The owner was nice until after the stay when he became very angry about the following issue: The owner informed us just before we arrived that the painted floors were super sensitive to staining. We were therefore very careful and never spilled anything. After we left the owner called us very angry since the bathmat in one bathroom seemed to have stained the floor! We did not choose the bathmat, and bathmats are important to prevent accidents on slippery floors, which is true for painted, wet floors. So, we do not understand how this is an issue for us. It is not reasonable for properties like this to have floors that cannot withstand normal use, like taking a shower and using the bathmat as intended. Upon leaving, we were instructed to remove all bedding from the beds, and to meet with the housekeeper, which we did. She walked through the house with us and said everything looked good. We left the house very tidy, dishes done, and things put away. ”
