May 2026A fun - but hot - stay
Our group very much enjoyed our week in the Loire Valley: the home was conveniently located so we were able to easily see all of the many chateaus and churches that the area is known for. Loches was a pretty town with many good restaurants that we took full advantage of. Diane was very nice and welcoming, and we appreciated her helpful tips. Two items of note: it was very hot while we were there, in the 90’s. The home is not air conditioned and while there were portable fans available it did become uncomfortable while sleeping if you did not want to open the windows (there are no screens). This is something to consider if you will be visiting in the warmer months. Fortunately the pool was lovely and provided an opportunity to cool down after a day of sightseeing. Also, be sure to bring your own soap/body wash and hair dryers, and the Wi-Fi could be intermittent. But overall it was a fun stay in a great location.”
