Description

Oceanfront Cliffside Juan de Fuca Strait Retreat in Port Angeles

Wide Strait of Juan de Fuca views define the first moments at this three bedroom, two bathroom bluff-top home overlooking the water toward Victoria, British Columbia. Entry begins through a gated garden where mature landscaping and a cascading wisteria set a calm tone before the horizon opens up. The setting feels elevated and quiet, with constant movement on the water below and changing light across the strait throughout the day.

The main living areas are arranged to keep the view present. Large windows frame the ocean while indoor spaces remain warm and comfortable, anchored by a substantial stone fireplace that draws people together in the evenings. After days spent hiking Olympic National Park or exploring town, the living room becomes a natural place to gather, unwind, and watch ships pass through the port as the lights across the water begin to glow.

All three bedrooms are configured with king beds, offering a consistent and comfortable setup for couples or families traveling together. Two additional rollaway beds provide flexibility when needed. The layout supports easy mornings and relaxed nights, with bathrooms positioned for everyday convenience rather than formality.

Outdoor living adds another layer to the experience. The backyard and garden spaces offer room to relax or play, while a Blackstone grill supports casual outdoor meals. A hot tub overlooking the strait provides a simple reward after long days outdoors, especially as evening settles in. Guests should note that the property sits on a cliff with a sharp drop-off at the edge of the yard, and children and pets must be supervised at all times while outside.

Centrally located, the home sits approximately ten minutes by car from both Olympic National Park and downtown Port Angeles. Days naturally move between trail time, waterfront walks, local dining, and quiet evenings back at the house.

This home is best suited for families or small groups seeking dramatic water views, close proximity to national park adventures, and a calm place to reconnect at the end of each day, with the strait always present as a backdrop rather than a distant feature.
