Description

Ten Acre Mountain Estate in the Aspen Valley

Direct access to protected open land and wide views of Sunlight Mountain and Mount Sopris define daily life here. The property borders Sutey Ranch, Bureau of Land Management acreage open to hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding, allowing mornings to begin on trail without getting in the car. From the deck, forested slopes roll outward beneath broad Colorado sky, with distance from neighboring rooftops and road noise. The setting feels expansive yet grounded in pine and meadow.

Perched on ten private acres above the Roaring Fork Valley near Carbondale, this newly remodelled five bedroom retreat is shaped by architectural volume and natural light. The great room features soaring timber beams, arched windows, oak floors, and a substantial stone fireplace that anchors the space. Statement chandeliers hang overhead while glass doors extend sightlines toward the surrounding hills. The adjoining chef’s kitchen is finished with marble countertops, brass hardware, and premium appliances, supporting shared meals at scale. Just below the main level, a cocktail lounge offers a quieter setting for evening conversation.

Outdoor living unfolds across layered terraces. A hot tub, sauna, and cold plunge are positioned to take advantage of mountain air and long views. A broad deck accommodates outdoor dining and lounge seating, complemented by an outdoor kitchen with pizza oven. The converted vintage RV, known as Shukla, functions as an outdoor bar. A glass and steel atrium suitable for small gatherings such as reunions or retreats is available at an additional cost and is not included as part of the ThirdHome exchange.

The residence sleeps up to sixteen guests across five bedrooms. The primary suite includes a king bed, copper soaking tub, and separate modern shower. An upstairs guest room features two queen beds. Downstairs accommodations include one king bedroom and an additional room with a queen bed and twin trundle beds. A separate bunk style room provides one queen bed and two twin trundle beds, offering flexibility for families and groups. Multiple fireplaces reinforce the mountain setting.

Carbondale is approximately 10 to 12 minutes by car. Glenwood Springs, including Glenwood Hot Springs and Iron Mountain Hot Springs, is about 20 minutes. Basalt is approximately 25 minutes. Snowmass is roughly 40 minutes, with Aspen Mountain and Buttermilk reachable in approximately 40 to 45 minutes. Beaver Creek is about one hour. A 4x4 vehicle is strongly recommended during late fall and winter conditions.

This estate suits multi generational families and retreat hosts seeking immediate trail access, expansive mountain views, and architectural scale anchored by ten private acres beside protected land.
