Five-Star Comfort in the Heart of the Scottish Highlands

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Findhorn and would like to give a very special thank you to Bryan and Angela for welcoming us into their beautifully refurbished apartment in this incredible historic house right on the water. From the moment we walked in, the apartment felt like home. It is extremely cozy, beautifully finished and spotlessly clean, while at the same time offering the comfort and attention to detail you would expect from a five-star hotel. Little extras such as the bathrobes and the lovely welcome pack made us feel especially welcome. One of the highlights for us was having the kayaks available. Being able to simply walk outside and head onto the water for an afternoon paddle was fantastic — and on one of our trips we were lucky enough to find ourselves surrounded by seals, which was a truly unforgettable experience. Findhorn itself is also an excellent base from which to explore this beautiful part of Scotland. During our stay we enjoyed road trips through the Highlands, fishing, golf, horse riding and visits to some of Scotland’s world-famous whisky distilleries, all within easy reach of the house. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. The combination of the location, the beautiful apartment, the incredible surroundings and Bryan and Angela’s hospitality made this a very special family holiday. A Magical Scottish Escape

This home was absolutely beautiful, so charming, cozy and even better than the photos. There were so many thoughtful little touches throughout, from the hot chocolate station and waffles to everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Angela was an amazing host, full of helpful tips and recommendations, and regularly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed - which we always did, as the house was so incredibly well equipped. It’s also hard to describe just how beautiful the surrounding area is. The white sandy beaches are stunning, and whatever the weather, it’s magical — either moody and atmospheric or blue skies and sunshine. There is so much to do nearby. We spent our days exploring castles and historic sites, visiting distilleries and golf courses, driving up to Loch Ness, relaxing on the beaches, and ending the day in cozy local pubs. We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend it. It was one of the highlights of our summer, and we would happily come back.”
