August 2026Great location, house fine. Car needed
A wonderful part of Portugal that we hadn't visited before, about 45 mins south of Lisbon. The Arrábida beaches and the Lagoa de Albufeira are absolutely stunning - among the best in Europe we have been to - and we also played golf at Aroeira. There is not much to do within walking distance of the house so we drove into Sesimbra for dinner most nights and also an amazing restaurant called Villa Meco 20 mins drive away. House is fine - fairly basic by Third Home standards - and the owner was extremely responsive on a couple of minor fixes that needed sorting out. The small pool is a lovely spot for an evening sundowner. Definitely need a hire car for this one, there is a gated car port in front of the house.”
