February 2023Only go if you golf
Our 'guaranteed ocean view' was such a disappointment! The ocean is far away and we had to stand on a chair and look to extreme left to see it. I emailed 3 times (from 5 months to 2 weeks prior to our stay) requesting a room in the oceanfront building but that didn't matter. Apparently what we booked was in the timeshare tower. We didn't even have a view of the lagoon. The only nice thing about our room was that we got the sunset view. The rest of the time we were looking at the golf course and listening to the noise from the lobby entry and vehicles. The lagoon is really nice but cold. It is salt water so very nice to swim in. Kayaks and paddleboards are complementary and the lifeguards make sure you are safe. The pool is warm but not big enough for laps. The hot tub is hot but there was always evidence of spilled drinks floating on top of the water. The beach area by the lagoon is nice; there are not enough lounge chairs but the staff there was excellent at helping find a place. There is another beach area but it is not near enough to the pool or the restaurant/bar. Our room didn't have a blender and when I asked for one I was told that there were no extras but I could go into town and buy one!! I ran into a sales rep and mentioned it to him and a blender was delivered to us at 10 that evening. You don't have to go to Cabo to stay at a place like this. No view and no whales so what's the point. Maybe if you golf...”
