March 2021Covid spoiled our memory
We were planning a memorable vacation and wedding but the government imposed restrictions on occupancy resulting in our stay being moved to a sister resort. The room we were given was nowhere near the luxurious accomodations of Solaz as Hacienda Del Mar is more of a traditional Mexican resort. Our suite was lacking in some of the most basic areas and amenities and management was notified. The next day we waited until after noon to be moved to a different room that was much nicer. Because of the inconveince we were given free breakfasts during our stay but apparently the staff wasn't made aware of that as my daughter was told they weren't entitled to the breakfasts making for an embarrasing and uncomfortable situation that was resolved amicably. Our guests were told they needed to attend a presentation to receive some of the offerings we were given for having to switch resorts which once again was embarrasing. The reort is nice but nowhere near the level of luxury the Solaz offers. I will give credit where credit is due because the Solaz resort did issue us a certificate for a future stay at the Solaz to make up for our loss. In closing I appreciated Hacienda Del Mar going the extra mile with surprise treats in our room and a special breakfast on our last day. ”

February 2021Hacienda del Mar
We were moved from the Solaz to Hacienda Del Mar due to occupancy restrictions imposed by Mexico. We were shown to a suite that was not acceptable for our group, and the staff worked to remedy the situation - much to our satisfaction. The staff was very friendly and professional. Service at all venues was fantastic, as was the food in all the restaurants on site. Overall an excellent stay, and we highly recommend this resort. In the end, we were happy to have been moved from the contemporary Solaz to the very traditional, colonial Hacienda Del Mar. ”
