Beautiful Property in a Gorgeous Location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Whale Harbour Cottage. Jon & Brenda generously stocked the property with food and drink so we were comfortable on arrival and well cared for during our stay. The home is located in the spectacular Connemara region of Ireland and we took advantage of the great day trips that were within a short drive from Roundstone. It was so refreshing to come back to the Cottage and enjoy a quick dip in the ocean or walk along the beaches within a short hike from the house. Thanks Jon & Brenda for sharing this lovely, peaceful home with us. It provided a perfect location for a special anniversary trip for us and we hope some day to return!”

It;s location is as quaint and tranquil as you can get but what lies nearby will intrigue the most seasoned of explorers. Perfect Getaway for a quiet and relaxing visit to Connemara area in Ireland

Jon greeted us upon arrival and oriented us very well to the perfect home away from home in beautiful Connemara Ireland. The O'Sullivan's stocked the refrigerator with exactly what we needed to start our week stay at their very quiet and relaxing place. They truly allowed us to feel at home allowing us to use all their appliances, pantry items, wine/beer and access their fantastic property. Their website and pictures are exactly what you will find. The upkeep of the property and grounds are immaculate. If ever we return to the West Coast of Ireland, we would for sure make Roundstone, Whale Harbour Cottage our home. We comfortably fit ourselves, our 13 and 11 year old children and my 76 year old in-laws. Very grateful for their hospitality. ”

Peace of heaven in Ireland's wild Atlantic Coast

From the first moment Jon and Brenda have been treating us like family, taking care of every detail, making sure we had everything we needed, replying to any questions with so much care. They are an absolutely lovely couple. They even left the fridge full of complementary food and a roasted chicken so we did not have to bother shopping on the first days. And of course, we could sense the love they put into their beautiful cottage from the moment we arrived just by looking into every detail of the house. The house in brand new, the furniture has a beautiful design, the heat works beautifully and you have all the confort from the city but in a place surrounded by wild nature. We could read inside the house while enjoying these amazing views from the sea. You could tell Jon and Brenda love cooking, the have got the most absolutely stunning modern kitchen fully equipped, where we were even tempted to cook as the kitchen design was so convenient and beautiful at the same time. The kids also loved it. We walked to the beach right outside the house every day, looking for crabs, doing picnics etc..and Galway is such a beautiful area to tour around. We absolutely recommend it. Fantastic Whale Harbour Cottage

Jon was an excellent host. He took the time to meet us and show us all we needed to know to take great care of their home and to enjoy ourselves. The area and Jon and Brenda's fantastic getaway were everything we expected and more. I highly recommend his gem by the sea. Was excellently built. We had everything we need .... All our cell phones worked great as we had them on the international AT&T and Verizon plans... Used my Verizon note as a mobile hot spot. Used 12 gigs of data in the week we stayed.... Google maps worked great as well. All Jon's tips for exploring were tremendous. Thank you again Jon and Brenda for a restful and exciting slice of heaven! Gorgeous cottage on the Atlantic seafront

We had a wonderful week in this gorgeous cottage built thoughtfully and tastefully by Jon and Brenda O'Sullivan. Every amenity was there, and the larder and fridges were fully stocked. Jon even left us a roast chicken for our arrival! The Coonemara coastline on to which the cottage fronted, is rugged and stunning and daily walks along the coastline was a real treat. The terrain around this area is unique. Good restaurants and cafes can be found in Roundstone and in Clifden, a twenty minute drive away. All in all, a magical week. Beautiful Coastal Retreat in Ireland

We had the pleasure of staying at Jon and Brenda's "Whale Harbour Cottage" in mid-July and it was fantastic! Communication was terrific prior to the trip, Jon met us personally at the home when we arrived and was responsive the couple of times that we had questions during the stay. We had everything (and more) that we needed at our fingertips! The home itself is magnificent! It's an all stone structure built from stone quarried on the lot. The inside is very attractive and there is plenty of space. The setting where the home is located absolutely beautiful with terrific views of a bay off of the Atlantic. The Village of Roundstone is quaint with an abundance of natural beauty. Roundstone is on the west coast of Coonemara and close by many other great towns such as Ballyconneely and Clifden. It is also fairly close to Galway. I highly recommend Whale Harbour Cottage for your next trip to Ireland!”
