An Amazing Family Vacation at Grand Solmar Pacific Dunes

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the 3 Bedroom Penthouse at Grand Solmar Pacific Dunes through ThirdHome. We traveled with our daughter, son-in-law, and our two grandsons (ages 4 and 8), and the spacious layout was perfect for our family. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax without ever feeling crowded. The penthouse itself was beautiful, exceptionally clean, and very well maintained. The housekeeping staff did an outstanding job throughout our stay. The unit had almost everything we needed. The only amenities we missed were a dishwasher and an in-unit washer and dryer, but neither took away from what was otherwise a wonderful experience. The resort offers plenty of activities for families. Our grandsons absolutely loved the water slides, the jungle rope over the pool, and the many activities organized by the entertainment staff. We happened to visit during the World Cup, and the staff went above and beyond by hosting soccer-themed activities, including bracelet making, face painting, and fun prediction games where the kids could guess who would score first and at what point in the match. It created such a fun atmosphere for both children and adults. During our June 2026 stay, one of the restaurants was closed, which limited the dinner options. The daytime pool menus offered plenty of choices, but we would have appreciated a few more evening dining options. That said, we absolutely loved the sports bar. It had a great atmosphere, excellent food, and became one of our favorite places to gather. We also took advantage of the complimentary shuttle to another Grand Solmar property, where we enjoyed a glass-bottom boat tour to El Arco. It was a fantastic excursion and one of the highlights of our trip. Overall, we had an amazing family vacation and would not hesitate to return. Grand Solmar Pacific Dunes is a beautiful resort with outstanding service, wonderful family activities, and spacious accommodations that made for an unforgettable stay. ”

The three bedroom penthouse is amazing. Oceanfront views, spacious living room and a nice shower and bathtub. The sliding doors in the living room and bedrooms are so nice at night - you’re able to hear the waves crashing. Housekeeping was great as well.”

Beautiful Ocean Views

We loved our stay at Grand Solmar Pacific Dunes. We stayed in a 3rd floor unit in building E. Gorgeous sunset views, we saw so many whales. Finishes in the units are very nice. Pool staff was very friendly. We took the complimentary shuttle to the sister property at Lands End a couple of days and enjoyed the pools there as well. Massages were great and enjoyed the round of golf. ”

Great stay at Grand Solmar

My family and I just came back from a lovely week at the Grand Solmar Rancho San Lucas. The resort is somewhat secluded on the Pacific side of Cabo. This side of Cabo is windier than downtown Cabo or the corridor. The 3 bedroom Penthouse suite is very large and has a full kitchen and well appointed bathrooms. The master bath was very large with a walk-in shower and beautiful tub area. If you choose to use the kitchen, you need purchase groceries on your way in from the airport as there are no nearby grocery stores. We chose to do the all inclusive plan which I would recommend. The food was excellent at both restaurants and you can also use the free shuttle to go to Solmar Lands End and eat there as well which we did twice during our stay. Food quality was better than many other all inclusive resorts in Cabo. Food service was very slow overall so plan on spending some time at both the sit down restaurants and pool side restaurants. Breakfast tended to be faster and was always delicious. Helpful hint: you can order sushi at any of the pools, just ask for the sushi menu. You also get two free "activities" with the All Inclusive. We did the cooking class and Tequila tasting. Tequila tasting was really well done. Viry at the Kids Club was amazing and our kids had a great time doing activities with her. The staff overall is really attentive and service was great. While there is a lot of time share presentations at the resort, we were never asked or pressured to participate. The pools and waterslides were a lot of fun. We look forward to going back. ”

I truly love to stay at the GS Residences at Rancho San Lucas. Even though the property is only about 30% built out, it has tons of great activities, pools, bars, restaurants, and of course - the Spa. I go every year and never regret it!”

Great property. Gorgeous. Great location. Only downside is slow wifi. They need to work on that. Also, a little aggressive on the time share sales side. Otherwise. Great stay and beautiful rooms. ”

Amazing

This 3 Bedroom Penthouse is spectacular! The master bedroom was amazing! You could literally see the ocean while soaking in the master bath tub. Lots of living space The resort is private, not crowded, which we loved. It's almost like you have the resort to yourself. The resort staff was great, ESPECIALLY the entertainment crew!!! We loved karaoke, our daily poker tournaments, and the water slides were the biggest hit with our 5 and 7 year old. We also enjoyed kayaking in the lagoon. The food and drinks were amazing, along with the spa. Can't wait to return. ”
