Description

Welcome to Casa Neuza, your home away from home!!!

This property has been in our family for ages. My mother in law, Neuza Leite, brought all the materials from their estate in Minas Gerais where she was born.

She personally coordinated the construction of this very family oriented home, and the house became a heaven to unite our family and close friends. The decoration was meant to send you back to our 120 year timeline starting with my wife's grand grandmother Joana.

I know you will love our property, because it was built with love.

Even though the city offers many options of things to do our house also has all the amenities you could imagine to make your stay an absolute joy. Our home boast large living rooms, cozy bedrooms, BBQ and playground area and our children chalet equipped with all kinds of toys and adventures. All this in a very secured area. You can also use our bicycles to explore our gorgeous garden and surrounding areas.

Now the great thing about our property is that we are only a 10 minute walk from the downtown center of the city where you can explore stores, dance clubs and great restaurants or just stop at the famous Baden Baden for a cup of beer.

To burn calories ... there are many options within a 15 minute drive: Horse and equestrian clubs (Equestrian Field Tarundu and Jordan), adventure sports for adults and children (Tarundu), ATV rentals, hiking and places of contemplation and relaxation (Horto);

Days of sunshine and blue skies are the norm during the winter, with cold nights and star filled skies.

Cooking is a delight, or simply hire our full meal service. Enjoy your stay!!!

Campos do Jordão is the city of highest elevation in Brazil - is 5600 feet above sea level - and with the purest air; Campos do Jordão is a municipality in the state of São Paulo in Brazil.

The city's economy is based mainly in tourism; due to its location at high elevation (on the Mantiqueira mountains) and European-looking architecture. Buildings are mostly German, Swiss or Italian inspired. Many of the wealthiest people from the state of São Paulo build their winter country houses there and July (the winter season vacations) sees an enormous influx of visitors (more than quadrupling the city's population), due in part to the winter festival of classical music. Its attractions throughout the year include German and Swiss food restaurants, bars and a cable car. There are many pousadas (inns) and chalets.

There are numerous outdoor activities for winter residents and tourists. These include hiking, mountain climbing, treetop cable swings (arborismo), horseback riding, and motorbike riding. The mountain ranges provide unique panoramic views and much of the area is still undeveloped. Also, in order to cater to the large number of visitors, several bars, lounges, discos and clubs will open up during the winter months.

The state governor also has his winter residence there, the Boa Vista Castle.

The city, due to its elevation, is relatively cold for Brazilian standards. The winter is normally the dry season and the colder weather allows for warm fireplaces and winter foods such as fondue, soups and hot chocolate. In spring and summer, one can see Hydrangea macrophylla blossoming all over the town.

The city can be reached from São Paulo mainly by road through the Rodovia Floriano Rodrigues Pinheiro. There is also a picturesque railroad from Pindamonhangaba, used mostly by tourists. At the end of the main road going through Campos do Jordão, there is a state park called Horto Florestal.

Casa Neuza

It is always nice to be greeted by smiling, happy and warm hosts. That warmth that comfort you after hours of a long journey. Without delay, Helena and Henrique showed us around the house that would be ours for a few days. A house full of family history from their past and the present, showcasing with dignity their family who have been building their home for over 40 years. The proximity of the house to the different tourist and comercial spots make it especially comfortable since you can get everywhere on foot.. The house itself was impeccable, with a beautiful daylight and large windows that allow you to take in the green scenery and cold breeze. We hope to meet again at another time since we will always be able to find a reason to come back Leonardo and Evelyn”
