April 2021VIdanta Grand Luxxe
The property is amazing and the rooms are wonderful with great air conditioning. The check in process is excruciating and took over 2 hours. The hard sell to try the timeshare breakfast bordered on inappropriate. They really need to work on a better check in process. However, the restaurants are wonderful.”

January 2021Wonderful week at the Grand Luxxe
Beautiful three bedroom suite with a fantastic view of Puerto Vallarta. Ample hotel with many restaurants, swimming pools, large gym and access to a very peaceful beach. We enjoyed ourselves very much and would definitely go back.”

December 2019Gorgeous top of the line luxury penthouse suite
This is a gorgeous, top of the line luxury penthouse-type suite. It is two levels with a view onto one of the golf courses. The two story high windows open wide to a palatial deck, with plenty of seating and a soaking pool. The master suite was amazing with a view of the soaking pool, large soaking tub, waterfall shower head in the shower, and extra full bathroom on the main level for guests. The upstairs provides a private retreat for a second couple with a second master suite and a room with two doubles along with a comfortable pull out bed. There was daily maid service that was top notch, attention to detail, and friendly. The turn down service included gourmet chocolates. The unit had a washer & dryer. There is a special concierge for the Platinum level where the unit is located. The tap water throughout the resort is safe to drink. The pools are amazing and there were literally too many to count. The plate of fruit on arrival was a nice surprise. Check in time was 5 pm and I would not expect to get into the room earlier than that. Check out time is 10 am and I doubt extensions are ever provided. Some of the holes on the Jack Nicklaus course seemed to be under repair. The Greg Norman course is amazing. A caddy (mandatory cost of $45) is required on both of the 18-hole courses. Our caddy Leo was amazing and we requested him each day. There are plenty of activities around the pools. We did not hang out on the beach or go into the ocean. The waves looked a bit rough. The view of the Sierra Madres, the ocean, and the sunsets were amazing throughout the resort. The wildlife, including the variety of birds, were awesome. We saw several crocodiles on the course, which was fun! We also saw many iguanas and bearded dragons around the pool. On the course, we saw basilisk lizards (the lizard that runs on the water and is also known as the Jesus Christ lizard). There must have been mosquitos, which I didn’t see, but had many welts over my body to know they were out. The nighttime golf was super fun, but may have been the source of the mosquito bites. We enjoyed the wave pool and our son really liked the slide! There are numerous restaurants with some waiters focused on up-selling, which can be annoying. The resort restaurant prices are largely comparable to US resort prices ($12 for a margarita). There are wooden walkways throughout the entire resort. It has a wonderful tropic feel to it. At check-in only, we were asked to consider a “timeshare-type” presentation. The presentation was longer than the promised 2 hours, but was interesting, and the perks were a bit less, in some respects, than what was promised. Overall, it was worth the time involved. Puerto Vallarta is an easy taxi ride. The cost was approximately $18 into the city. There are wonderful restaurants and activities in PV. Uber operates in PV. Walking along the Malecon in PV is a wonderful way to spend an evening. We would return to this resort and in particular this unit in a heartbeat! We strongly recommend it.”
