*****

This is a comfortable home with a nice garden entrance, plenty of room for 6, and well located -- walking distance to 2 glorious beaches and a pleasant walk to the commercial center of Carmel. The beds are comfortable, plenty of towels, and a very nicely stocked kitchen (spices, pots). The separate cottage is very large and pleasant with a wonderful shower. It was as we expected, and very nice.”

Just What we needed!

What a wonderful and charming week! While we did spend some time in the surrounding town and take in some of the absolutely stunning coastal landscape, we found that we just wanted to stay most of the time at Point Taken! It was just two of us, so we stayed in the main house which had everything we needed, and didn't even need to use the casita. The landscaping is wonderful, home is comfortable, there's great wi-fi, and an a huge glowing fireplace to warm up to at night while streaming our favorite shows... ”

Carmel Home was a perfect place to self-quarantine.

The timing of our visit was eerie, given it happened as California began to shut down. We ate out once a day the first 4 days and then had to eat at home. Point Taken is an absolutely lovely place in one of the most spectacular places on earth. It was our good fortune to be able to spend the first week of self-quarantine there. We walked once or twice a day. Point Taken is 2 blocks from the Pacific Ocean. It rained quite a bit, especially at night but we were able to get out at least twice a day.”
