Luxury Mountain Lodge with Soaring Views
Nestled on top of the rolling hills of the Rich Mountains that overlook the Blue Ridge Lake. As you drive up the paved driveway in the private gated community, you will be impressed by the Canadian log home.
This three-level, six-bedroom, seven-bathroom house is perfect for multiple families housing up to eight kids in the spacious Bunk Bed Loft, an additional futon in the game room, and a twin-size foldout chair in two of the bedrooms.
The feature fixture of the main floor is the grand living room with a gorgeous wood-burning stone fireplace and the two-story prow of glass and beams that overlook the majestic views of the mountains and lake. The flow from the living room to the gourmet kitchen and dining area allows everyone to enjoy each other's company while still being in separate rooms. French doors lead out to the deck with a built-in red cedar bar counter.
The well-appointed and fully equipped kitchen has granite counters, Viking appliances, and everything necessary to whip up a delicious meal. The dining table can be extended to accommodate up to 12 guests.
A main floor master bedroom sits off the great room with a king-size bed, deck access, a glorious bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, a stone shower, and a double vanity. Also on the main floor is another elegant bedroom named the Bear Bedroom, with a low-set queen-size bed and an en suite. French doors give you access to a private nook of the upper deck.
Make your way upstairs to the well-lit second master bedroom suite with a king-size bed, oversized leather chair that can be unfolded into a twin-bed, and a luxurious bathroom with a jacuzzi tub, stone shower, and double vanity.
Walk across the hall to the game room area that offers foosball, air hockey, backgammon, and chess. There is a seating area for you to play board games and a large tv with a DVD/VCR player, and a futon that can be used to sleep extra guests.
Connected to the Game Room is a spacious Bunk Bed Loft with five natural pine bunks along with multiple toys and games for the little ones to enjoy.
Head down to the terrace level, where you will find a more mature game room with an eight-food rustic billiards table, a ping pong table room, and the Fireplace Suite, where you can wind down on the comfortable sofa in front of the remote-controlled gas-fireplace. The queen-size sleeper sofa is perfect for younger kids who aren't quite ready for the bunk room. Pass through a small hallway, and a king-size bed awaits with a pull-out twin sleeper. The bedroom has a full en-suite and access to the lower level covered porch.
The lower level deck has a viewing terrace with a built-in fire pit perfect for chilly nights with a blanket gazing at the stars.
The Lodge is not childproof, but it is child-friendly, with a playpen and a high chair available for your use. There is limited handicapped access at the main level.
