A magical stay in beautiful Normandy

A truly unforgettable stay for our group of ten, ranging from 15 to 75 of age. The long drive from the Czech Republic was quickly forgotten as soon as we stepped inside this special home, courtesy of our charming and proactive host Charles. We simply adored the house, its history and interior design (and art) were captivating. We fell in love with the garden and its lighting scene at night. We quickly developed a morning routine: a small walk to get 10 fresh croissants from a local boulangerie, followed by 20 lengths in the heated pool and then a good coffee (or two) on the shady terrace. We couldn't have dreamed of anything more; it was a perfect holiday for everyone. Only the teenagers wished for the cute local cats to visit them a bit more often.:) Our stay was enriched by exploring the history of the Normandy region, learning more about the local VIP, William the Conqueror, exploring WW2 history at the beaches and taking a tour and tasting at the nearby Calvados-making facility. The 4-course dinner prepared just for us by Farida, the housekeeper, was a highlight in itself—thoughtful, delicious, and served with warmth. We collaborated on the menu to ensure it suited both our teenagers' developing palates and our desire to sample the best of what French cuisine offers. It was a magical night with the most playful table centrepiece by Farida, adding that special touch. Every detail, from the setting to the hospitality, made this feel less like a stay and more like being welcomed into somewhere truly special. We left very rested and with wonderful memories and are already dreaming of our next visit. Thank you for such a magical time.”

A Very Special Place

We had a wonderful week at this beautiful house. It was the perfect spot to celebrate my mother‘s 80th birthday with her closest friends and family. it is the perfect place for celebrations such as this. The house has been meticulously renovated and is as beautiful inside as out. There is a fantastic indoor outdoor swimming pool/spa of which we took full advantage. The grounds, and the garden are magical. Charles was very helpful throughout our stay with suggestions of restaurants and tips to make our stay more enjoyable. We also had a wonderful celebratory meal prepared by Farida, their exceptional housekeeper, which I would highly recommend. The house is located conveniently close to the centre of Falaise, a walkable distance to most conveniences you might need. For lovers of history, the whole area is a delight, dating right back to William the Conqueror. All in all, none of us wanted to leave and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others. Our stay here was exceptional. The home is charming, thoughtfully furnished, and equipped with every comfort. The grounds are stunning—peaceful, lush, and impeccably maintained. Being able to stroll into town for cafés, restaurants, and fresh pastries each morning was a real highlight. Charles is a wonderful host—kind, attentive, and quick to help with anything we needed. The house and town are full of WW2 history, Great museum and castle in town only a few blocks away. Trips to Omaha beach will humble you. We would enthusiastically recommend this property to anyone thinking of visiting.”

We had the most wonderful stay at this exquisitely renovated estate in Normandy. The furnishings, fabrics, colours are absolutely beautiful. Every room is unique and special. The pool area/garden is also magnificent and we had many happy hours there. Excellent location, walking distance to the charming village.
