Description

Private Pool Villa near Montemor-o-Novo

Highlights:
• Vineyards framing Montemor-o-Novo Castle views

• Private pool for quiet Alentejo afternoons

• Wine retreat dining, spa and tennis access

Set within an established wine retreat in Portugal’s Alentejo region, this single-level villa offers a peaceful base surrounded by vineyards and open countryside. Views extend toward Montemor-o-Novo Castle, bringing a distinct sense of place to mornings on the terrace and evenings beneath the wide Alentejo sky.

The open-plan kitchen, dining and living spaces are designed around natural light and an easy connection to the outdoors. Full-height glass doors lead directly to the terrace and pool, while a fireplace, contemporary furnishings and warm wood details soften the villa’s clean architectural lines. The kitchen is fully equipped for relaxed meals at home, with an espresso machine, wine cooler and generous dining space.

Two bedrooms each feature a king bed, providing comfortable and equally considered accommodation for up to four guests. Two full bathrooms incorporate natural stone finishes, with features including a freestanding bathtub and rain shower. Blackout blinds, air conditioning and underfloor heating support comfort across the seasons.

The shaded terrace extends the living space outdoors with dining and lounge areas overlooking the private pool. Guests also have access to the retreat’s shared restaurant, lake, tennis courts, gym, indoor pool, sauna and spa. Wine tastings, cooking classes, spa treatments, hot-air balloon rides and horseback riding may be arranged for an additional fee.

Montemor-o-Novo and its hilltop castle are approximately fifteen minutes away, while Évora offers a rewarding introduction to the history and architecture of the wider Alentejo region. Days can move easily between wine experiences, cultural excursions and quiet hours beside the pool, creating a stay shaped by the landscape and the unhurried rhythm of rural Portugal.

Important Information:
The private swimming pool is not fenced. Children must be supervised around the pool at all times.

A car is recommended, and complimentary parking is available.
