Martha is a great host, and Hilda, Nico and Fernando did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Hard to beat sitting in the hot tub overlooking the lake with the nightly spectacular sunsets!”

Beautiful view, elegant interior design

We stayed a week in mid Janaury 2020 in this lovely house. It was very relaxing after a hectic but fulfilling 6 days in Mexico City. The two make a great combination. The owners are very helpful, we even met for a glass of wine prior to our stay, in Mexico City. We drove in a rental car quite easily in about 2 hours from Mexico City. The town is small and attractive, mostly the tourists are local, so it felt like an authentic experience. We enjoyed a boat ride on the lake, and especially the trip to the butterfly sanctuary to see the Monarchs. In January the daily high was 25 to 26 Celsius, so very comfortable. pleasantly cool at night. Hilda, the housekeeper was very helpful, and would prepare dinners for when we didn't want to go out. Mostly we enjoyed relaxing poolside enjoying the view. The owners' attention to interior design was exemplified by their collection of architecture books we enjoyed perusing. Highly recommended.”

Perfect Vacation!

My wife and I and two friends stayed at the magnificent La Pena Rock House for two amazing weeks. The pictures do not do this house justice. The weather was perfect and our host Martha was very helpful and responded immediately to questions we had. We were pampered by Hilda's cooking and housekeeping and Nico took care of the pool, hot tub and grounds. Valle de Bravo is a wonderful small town with several great restaurants. All Martha's recommendations were excellent. The only glitch we had was the gas shortage but Nico somehow found us gas! Oh and I should mention that none of us speak Spanish so we had a lot of fun trying to communicate with Martha but she was delightful and we managed beautifully. ”

Lovely Villa with Wonderful Staff

We enjoyed our stay at the villa. The home has stunning views of the lake and is well equipped. Hilda, the housekeeper was so nice and made us delicious breakfasts and dinners. We explored the charming town of Valle de Bravo, golfed all three of the area courses thanks to the owners assistance. And went to the monarch butterfly sanctuary, Piedra Herrera. The owner was very communicative and helpful in making our vacation a wonderful experience.”

Without exception, everything was a 10!… Owner Martha bilingual and an excellent communicator, Housekeeper/cook Hilda a sweetheart and prepared healthy and delicious Mexican specialties. Panoramic lake views from all bedrooms, Gardner/pool man Nico set up fireplace for us nightly. Charming villages to visit and great restaurants made this a great trip!”

Luxurious stay

Everything about my stay was absolutely amazing. With its mexican contemporary decor, the house itself is lovely and the view is simply breathtaking. I dont know how old the house is but its maintenance is excellent in every aspect. You sort of get the feeling of staying at a Four Seasons resort but with the cousiness of a house. The cherry on top was the service we received; 2 ladies that provided cleaning and cooking and another person that helped us with whatever other aspect of the house we needed. In a nutshell, everything about our stay was perfect, thank you very much Martha!”

Authentic beautiful Mexican getaway !!

For an authentic Mexican getaway this is the home ! Spacious home with gorgeous views! Appreciated homes decor and all high end furnishings home is very well maintained and clean. Staff also available as needed , we really enjoyed having an authentic Mexican meal cooked for us ! Valle de Bravo is a cute town and we felt very safe and people are very nice. Though other activities are available in town as described in property information but we wanted a quiet relaxing vacation from our busy life and we enjoyed the view and relaxing atmosphere . ”
