March 2024Wonderful location, house, host
Had a great time relaxing at the beautiful property, walking the charming town with its cobblestone streets, and visiting Mexico City on the way there. Definitely hope to do it again!”

February 2023BREATHTAKING LAKE & MOUNTAIN VIEWS FROM LA PENA ROCK HOUSE
This amazing home is designed to take in amazing views from every room of the house overlooking Avandaro lake in a mountain setting. The host Margaret was extremely helpful with all her information provided along with excellent porters and house keepers. The infinity pool and jacuzzi were wonderful too. ”

January 2020Back Again and Just as good the Second Time!
We visited La Pena for the second year in a row and loved it as much if not more this time! Martha is a great host, and Hilda, Nico and Fernando did everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Hard to beat sitting in the hot tub overlooking the lake with the nightly spectacular sunsets!”
