Classy Apartment!

The apartment was amazing! Incredible decor and art pieces and paintings. Wonderful sound system in the living room, even plays in the bathroom. The location was great, close to many yummy local restaurants. Had dinner twice at Smichovsky‘s. Also found an amazing Indian restaurant, 7 min walk. All the famous sights were easy to access with the tram or underground metro. The river is 1 block away from the apartment. The owners were great, and communication was thorough. Also, took a bus trip to Cesky Kromlov, 2.5 hours away. Beautiful, well preserved medieval city. Loved our stay and Prague visit!”

Amazing location for a perfect city week

What an amazing place! The rooms were very spacious and bright with many windows and wonderful views over the park. It was a really quiet neighborhood which we loved. The main bathroom had a soaking tub that our toddler loved and we looked forward to the great shower after a day of wandering through the city. The AV setup was incredible was in with a movie at the end of the night. The location was an easy walk to anywhere in the city and only a few steps to the tram when it was too cold to walk far with a child. There was a large shopping mall about 5 minutes walk with anything you could possibly need. The kitchen was perfect for making simple grilled cheese, pasta, or enjoying take-away. Not equipped for making gourmet dinners, but there are so many nearby restaurants to choose from that you wouldn’t want to cook anyway! It’s definitely an “adult” home. The bed setup was perfect for a family with a child and it worked well for a very calm child. There is an amazing art collection throughout the the flat that shows the owner’s great style. ”

Lovely art-filled apartment

This art-filled apartment was perfect for my Prague stay. Located about a 15-minute walk south of “city center” (if there is such a thing) and about a 20-minute walk to old town: far enough to get some exercise but close enough to obviate the need for a taxi. Two blocks to the southwest is the Andel shopping/transport hub, with lot of restaurants. And right around the corner was a great pub/sports bar (Bulldog) and an excellent restaurant (Smichovsky at #4 Preslova). The latter is below street level. DO NOT MISS THE GOULASH! (After Prague, I went to Budapest and found myself pining for Smichovsky’s version. I also recommend the pork knee, served on a charming miniature spit, and the ribs.) Back to the apartment: it is well-equipped with a fully-stocked kitchen and complimentary Nespresso cartridges (my Third Home apartment in Budapest charged a buck apiece, which I found a bit stingy). There’s a separate laundry room with washing machine AND a dryer (not one of those awful combinations). The two sleeping areas are separated by only a sliding pocket door, so if there’s enormous sensitivity about privacy and sound, that might be a factor to consider. The interior design has an “industrial” vibe, softened by the owner’s large art collection (paintings, sculpture, glass). I enjoyed just hanging out there, listening to music via the handy YouTube channel on the TV. Another nice touch: eye-catching views of various turrets on neighboring buildings reminded you that you’re in Eastern Europe. I loved the place!”
