Great property. Although quality control of the room needs to better before guests arrive. 1.Privacy divider broken between bedroom and bathroom 2. Bathroom door and closet so loud and squeaky 3. Remote control in living room broken 4. Accent lights not working in bedroom 5. Should provide at least 2 pods for laundry so you don’t have to foot to store just for that.. 6. Good news is non stop supply of water 7. Maintenance staff was very quick to fix items”

Amazing property

The Viceroy was amazing. We had a one bedroom suite and a two bedroom suite. Both were fabulous. We rented a cabana on the beach as well and the service was perfect. Finally the roof top restaurant is a must experience. It was so amazing for views and service. ”

Getaway

The place itself was beautiful, gorgeous pools, beaches etc. the room was clean with spectacular views, we had one of the best located rooms. Some of the appliances were either faulty or didn’t work at all, but didn’t really affect our stay. The biggest disappointment is the cost, you are required to pay a daily cleaning fee and resort fee, in American dollars, which we were aware of, but it still hit hard with the exchange to Canadian. At these prices, we may have been better off at an all inclusive resort. Also the cost for food and drink was equally expensive. We shopped at the nearby grocery store to help with expenses and found that prices everywhere were unusually high. It’s been awhile since we visited the Cabo area, so it came as a bit of a shock to see the high prices. Also don’t eat or drink at the airport, I paid $9 Canadian for a soda…..!”

Beautifully designed hotel!

Beautifully designed hotel! Very well done! We ate at Awacate and Casero, 2 of the 4 restaurants at the hotel, and the food was great! It was up-scale Mexican food. Very tasty! We stayed in a 1 bed condo, which was on the ground floor. It had a great view and was very private. It had a full kitchen and 1.5 baths, which was nice for the 2 of us. The condo was nicely designed with pocket doors to close off the bedroom and a screen to close off the bathroom. We loved the location of this resort also. It was close to San Jose, which is such a cute town. It was a $7 Uber one way from the resort to San Jose. There's an art walk there on Thursday nights. It’s also an easy walk to the grocery store, La Comer, and a few restaurants nearby (which have more reasonable prices). A few things to note, the condo doesn’t include dishwasher detergent or washing machine detergent. The resort is a little sceney/has a clubby-vibe. The gym offers a workout class per day and there’s a kids and adult movie shown each day.”

Fantastic hotel

The Viceroy was so beautiful. Every room has spectacular views, the resort is so picturesque and the service was awesome. The room was great… the kitchen was lacking pots and pans and there was no microwave so was not really able to cook anything. The food and restaurants were great but way overpriced. Location was great… close to grocery store, many restaurants and uber is super cheap to take a short ride into the square (about a in ride). Will definitely go again. ”

GREAT HOTEL IN GREAT LOCATION

San Jose Del Cabo is the quieter smaller part of the Cabo San Lucas region. The Viceroy is a great hotel located right on the beach. Rooms are large, comfy and great ocean views. Service is top notch. Several pool areas Great (but pricey) spa! recommend eating in town and not at hotel. Loads of wonderful restaurants.”

Viceroy is Fabulous !

This “floating oasis” on the oceanfront is quite special. The common spaces are only outdone by the unit itself. The staff is beyond superb ! We hated to leave. About the only thing I would remind others is that eating in the on site locations can be expensive but the unit kitchen is wonderful as well. Go to Chedraui or La Comer for groceries to hes be some costs. Especially making your own breakfasts and lunches. ”

Gorgeous, but has issues

The property is very pretty, and has a cool vibe, but the unit itself was in need of major maintenance. The hot tub on the deck kept the water running, so we had to get maintenance to fix the faucet to turn it off. The two showers in the bathroom sprayed everywhere, so that was another maintenance call. The stove hood was not operable at all. The front door was so loose we could open it with a credit card slid sideways, so we made sure to use the safe as anyone could enter the room. The location is great,with lots of nice restaurants close by and within walking distance to downtown (or an inexpensive Uber ride).”

Absolutely Fabulous!

We loved our week at the Viceroy Resort. We were also upgraded to a 2 bedroom condo that opened up to a pool of azure water. Our room was outstanding and had the best view you could imagine. The service was top-notch, the food was delicious and the amenities were superb. This was by far, the most beautiful resort we have stayed at and will be missed. It definitely is a more expensive property in terms of food and drinks, but the quality and service was worth it. Just come prepared to spend more that you normally do on vacation.”

The Most Beautiful Hotel

My husband & I stayed here for a 25th anniversary celebration. We loved the modern decor, the stunning ocean views, & the location within Cabo. We enjoyed the town of San Jose del Cabo one night, a few farm to table restaurants other nights & several other local dining options nearby. The service was excellent but our room was not ready when we arrived. We let them know in advance that we would be arriving two days after our reservation so I was very confused why they couldn't have it ready for us. Beyond check in we had a perfect vacation & we hope to return again. ”

Lovely resort, but even better customer service

We loved our stay at Viceroy. We look forward to returning Dec 3-10th 2022. Resort is absolutely gorgeous. Karina in the breakfast restaurant was very helpful planning a birthday surprise for a friend of ours. Carlos front office manager was very customer focused. Monserrat Nava the residential concierge manager who deals with Thirdhome guests was very accommodating. She moved us to the first floor so that we had access to exit our room from the balcony into the water that is all over the resort. We could literally walk to the swimming pool from our deck. Floor in that water is a bit slippery, but much closer than walking around on sidewalks. Food in all restaurants at Viceroy is awesome, but for a change of pace Javiers restaurant is walking distance. This is same owners of Vegas and Newport Beach Javiers. ”

Unfinished Product

The unit wasn’t finished, the Viceroy should not have allowed it to be occupied. Thirdhome should be a little more hands on about knowing the properties in their inventory. ”

Beautiful modern hotel

We had a lovely time at this beautiful hotel. The food and drinks are delicious but pricey. The pools and gym are wonderful and I would say overall is geared to adults (which we wanted). We had problems with the wifi being consistent which made it hard to work, but every time they reset it, it resolved. The location is excellent if you want to be on the beach and close to San Jose del Cabo. ”

Relaxing vaca at stunning Viceroy!

The property is absolutely stunning visually which right away set the tone for a relaxing vacation. We used four different pools and just loved being able to lay out out with a view of the ocean from anywhere on the Viceroy property. The staff (from the front desk to the bellmen and the concierge and pool assistants), all made our stay truly a five star experience. They were available and willing to help us or get anything for us at anytime. The location of the property is an awesome location within walking distance to several restaurants, grocery store and the quaint town of San Jose del Cabo with cute shopping and an art gallery district. Lastly the unit itself was sleek and beautiful yet livable at the same time. The appliances were high end and the bed, with a view of the mirror pool and ocean, was so comfortable. I sincerely hope I am able to use Third Home to stay at Viceroy again!”

Water, water everywhere.

Water, water everywhere. What a beautiful stay. First, they upgraded us to a 2 bedroom condo. Thank you! Our huge slider opened up to a practically endless pool with direct views of the beach and Sea of Cortez. The sea breeze filled our room each afternoon. We had breakfast on our patio every morning and lunch at the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times. We can't wait to go back. ”

Great Stay

Overall a very relaxing stay and good experience. Arrival was fast and easy. The hotels location was just a 10 minute bike ride from the downtown area of San Jose, which is really cute, great restaurants, and not too touristy. The room we stayed in was actually huge. Way larger than any 1BR I've stayed in before, and had amazing views. There's no manual in the room so it was difficult to figure out how to work things, but we got by. Service in the hotel was pretty good. The food and drinks at the hotel were pretty good too, but a little pricy for Mexico. A marg by the pool was $26, which I thought was a little excessive. ”
