June 2026A Storybook Come To Life
We had a marvelous time staying in the Old Courthouse. It was like staying in a d English storybook with modern conveniences. The beds are very comfortable and the linens and towels were soft and plush. The kitchen had anything that we needed. I could not have imagined living in place built in 1490! The steep and angled stairs are a bit of a challenge at first but we all got used to them. The location is in a tiny village. We tried all 3 of the eating establishments and enjoyed them all. Having afternoon tea at The Manor was a lot of fun. The hikes leaving the village are numerous and there are plenty to choose from in the greater area. We could have stayed longer and not run out of things to do. Beautiful hikes through friendly villages. Bath was a short drive away. I highly suggest parking in a designated area at the town’s edge and taking a bus in to Bath. Parking would have been a nightmare! I highly recommend the Old Courthouse! Marlit was great to work with and very good at keeping in touch. I had lost something and was very patient with my multiple emails. Thank you again! ”

August 2025Wonderful
Our stay at the Old Courthouse was fantastic, what an amazing little village Castle Combe is. We went for long walks, and drives during the day when the village was busy, then revelled in the tranquility once everyone had left. The House itself was remarkable for its age, beautifully presented with lots of nice touches. Marlit was a communicative, helpful, and attentive host. Wonderful stay.”
