Description

Contemporary Coastal Estate near Pego Beach

Set within 5,000 square metres of pine forest in Brejos da Carregueira de Baixo, this exceptional six bedroom home reflects the natural textures and relaxed architectural character associated with Comporta. Constructed with regional materials, it combines generous proportions, abundant light and views across surrounding woodland, creating an atmosphere shaped by nature.

At its heart is a dramatic 90 square metre living room, distinguished by soaring ceilings and an impressive exposed framework. Wide openings connect this central space to two terraces, each designed for a different rhythm of the day. The south facing terrace provides sheltered dining, a gas barbecue and foosball, while the northwest terrace offers an outdoor lounge and sunset facing dining area.

A completed 160 square metre terrace introduces a wooden pergola, summer kitchen and barbecue beside the pool. The 16 metre swimming pool is framed by sun loungers, an outdoor shower, daybed and a Comporta style chill out area, forming an inviting setting for afternoons outdoors.

Accommodation includes two 40 square metre junior suites with terraces and full bathrooms, alongside four double bedrooms arranged with private or shared bathroom facilities. Every bedroom includes air conditioning, heating, a fan and mosquito nets, with indoor and outdoor access.

Comporta and Pego Beach are accessible by bicycle through the rice fields, while a wild beach is five minutes away. In July and August, housekeeping is provided five days weekly for four hours. Steps lead to the pool area, which has no safety barrier. Parties, smoking and pets are not permitted.
