Description

With the best views you wlll find on the Kona Coast, this 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath, 2,500 sq. ft. house is perfectly located for everything Hawaii has to offer!

The home is decorated in Tommy Bahama-style tropical furnishings and tropical art. Lots of teak and bamboo, as well as special touches such as teak floors and vessel sinks.

What you'll notice first is the amazing 180 degree ocean view. Walk through the front door, and instantly you are captivated by one of the best views in all of Hawaii! This isn't the view from one corner of the yard, this is the view from almost every room in the house! Every bedroom, the living room, dining room, kitchen and all lanais have this incredible view! Underground utilities ensures there are no power lines to block your view.

Upstairs (at street level):

The living room has ample seating and a 65" tv/stereo.
The large kitchen is brand new with Sapele mahogany cabinets, granite counters, two sinks, two ovens, and 36" induction cooktop. A true cooks kitchen, fully stocked with new stainless steel appliances and a pantry. The kitchen connects to the dining room with a Monkeypod breakfast bar that seats 4.

The master bedroom is fitted with a California King memory foam bed, ensuite master math, and connects to the master covered lanai.

Also on this level you will find the den/4th bedroom with a queen pull out sofa and memory foam mattress (walls slide open or closed as desired). There is also a half bath, hall closet, and the main lanai, which is furnished with a sofa, loveseat, small table, and chairs.

Lower level (there are both indoor and outdoor stairs to this level):

Located on this level are the rest of the bedrooms. One bedroom with a Queen bed opens to the pool. The other bedroom has a Queen and a Twin bed, a flat screen tv and X-Box, and opens to the lower lanai, which is covered and contains a large dining table and chairs, as well as a grill. There is also a full bathroom off hallway on this level.

Ceiling fans are found in the living room, dining room, kitchen, and all 4 bedrooms.

The only rooms without ocean views are the bathrooms!

The main feature outside is the large solar heated pool. On the deck are several lounge chairs and hammock for you to relax in.

This home is located between Kailua-Kona and Keauhou, and is convenient to both. You have chosen an ideal location for experiencing the island, from the great beaches to the North, to Kealakekua Bay and the Volcano to the South.

In just 5 minutes by car. you can be in Kailua Town (with its pier, restaurants, art galleries and shopping), upscale Keauhou, or at the famous Kahaluu Beach Park (snorkeling beach with turtles) and Disappearing / Magic Sands Beach. Keauhou and the new Sheraton are equally close.

At 660 feet, this is considered by most to be the perfect elevation because it is warm enough to know you're in Hawaii, but doesn't get too hot. (We also have 7 ceiling fans!) The days in this area are almost always sunny.

Some of our favorite beaches:

Kahaluu Beach, just a few minutes down the road, is great for kids and snorkeling, with frequent visits from sea turtles. Other in-town beaches include Magic Sands and the beach at the King Kamehameha Hotel.

Ku'a is a beautiful beach park just past the airport, so you can get there much quicker than going all the way to Kohala.
Napoopoo is another fun local beach south of Kealakekua. It is a "black" sand beach (gray actually.) Fair warning: on a sunny day the sand is very hot!

A few other very popular beaches are in Kohala, such as A-Bay and Hapuna. They are about a 45 minute drive north.

Coffee Farms:

There are many coffee farms in the region which give tours. Our favorite is Greenwell Farms in Kealakekua. You never have to wait longer than a few minutes for a free tour, and you can spend the time sampling many varieties of Kona Coffee!

There are dozens of great restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive, and many sights to see wherever you go. We recommend taking an easy day trip to the volcano!

No question about it: you will make memories to cherish forever when you stay at Kona View House on the Big Island of Hawaii.

** We do not allow parties or gatherings beyond the 9 allowable guests. Thank you for your understanding.

Owners are very open to releasing other weeks via Request a Week if they are available, or renting additional days to extend your stay and fit into flight schedules. Most guests say a week is too short!.

5 Stars are not enough

Fantastic. Stunning views night and day. Well appointed and decorated. Kitchen & baths are well stocked. Great Location close to everything in town and centrally located on the island for exploring all of the attractions.. The pool is an excellent addition and we enjoyed the large deck too. The upper porch is very relaxing and much time was spent there also. This is a very quiet neighborhood and it was easy to relax and to sleep at night. ”

Don't miss the sunsets!

The house was absolutely everything we'd hoped for and the view is off the charts! We could not have enjoyed our stay anymore and we would certainly (and hope to) return again. Cindi is very responsive and accommodating.”
